ehm, ive got a problem here.. above are photo's of my two cats, Emmalee(the gray & white one. shes a little bigger since that photo was taken.), and Destiny(Dezzy for short cx, the calico.).
weve had emmalee for about 1 and a half years, ever since she was a kitten. emmalee developed some aggressive behavior and now the vet has prescribed her prozac. we figured out that her problem might be that she is just a very scared cat, and a little of feline hyperesthesia(twitching of the skin.). recently(within the last few weeks) we found little dezzy outside of my grandparents house. she was ridden with fleas and ticks(one was on her neck, about the size of a baby grape.) we ironically had a carrier from emmalee in the car and we brought her to the emergency vet. they diagnosed her with an upper respiratory infection, lung worms(very uncommon for my area.., and whip worms, and no leukemia! now, emmalee has had a history of peeing on my bed, the carpet, the couch, the tub, and our living chair.. we're hoping this kitten might calm her because before all of her peeing behaviors someone has visited our house, she doesn't like anyone except my mother and i.
today is a few days after the vet said dezzy could interact with emmalee without giving her the same infection she had so we introduced them. at first emmalee was very nice, just sniffing her. then she hopped on top of her and began biting her. like i said, emmalee has been aggressive with us(and still is) and we are scared to leave them alone so dezzy remains in the bathroom(where she's been 2 and a half weeks). any advice for socializing these too? i dont want either of them getting hurt!

anyone? We're on the verge of giving up this kitten, I kind of need I miracle

oh no! that would be terrible! Call that dude from Animal planet http://www.animalplanet.com/tv-shows/my-cat-from-hell lol i bet he can fix the problem! XD lol maybe you can keep them seprate slowly moving them in closer areas between weeks while rubbing them with towels and letting the other cat sniff it? then separate them by a baby gate for awhile and then put them together. Idk i saw it on that show...

There's the answer to why Austin is behaving like that ;)

we already know why he acts like that, but its leo who is confusing us. He used to be the good boy. Any ideas? hes fixed, hes not declawed, i dont think hes sick...

Is Austin the dominant one? If so, Leo could feel intimadated to defacate where Austin has. Or he could be don't it because a the litter box isn't clean? Or perhaps it's just marking what is his (defacation can have the same effect as urine)
i've quit CS,
thank you for the nearly 4 years that i've been on this site!

We usually keep our new animals alone in our room for a bit, letting them interact with the others in small bits and letting them sniff each other from under the door,t he carrier, on us, towels, and gradually introduce them. We've had a few times where the kitten was hissing at the larger cats, but nothing too big. We have mellow boys, so we don't have cat fights.

My friend has a cat named Otis who is bipolar and has some insecurities. He was declawed(poor boy), and has set-in issues. They got a new kitten not long ago and kept her in a room for a while, but let them socialize slowly. There were a few smacks, hissing, and some unwanted kitten play, but they evened out with some supervising and some tlc on both sides to soothe nerves.

Introducing them slowly and treating them for being docile with each other would be best. If you have a glass or screen door, setting the food up there with them on either side would do some good. They wouldn't be able to get hurt, and still see each other while eating. They could grow accustomed to that.

Treat Emmalee for good behavior, and set her away in maybe a 'time-out' off in another room if she gets too riled. When she associates the kitten's presence and her being calm around the other, she may start to warm up to Destiny.

Beautiful cats....just beautiful.

My new beautiful baby Nassau! We got her after my other cat Hali passed away from a brain tumor. We needed something to take our minds off of her...So my friends cat had kittens and she was giving them away. It seemed right. <3 Nassau is a trouble maker though! Mewling all night and starching things but even though she wasn't litter box trained when we got her she only had a few accidents! she is a sweetie although she is very bold and loves to bug the older cat. Even though she gets pushed away and hissed at (no claws though!) she still goes back to annoy some more. I love her to death but she is defiantly the alpha female! XD I love her though. <3

I think my cat, Smudge may be pregnant [ again. ] three months ago she gave birth to her first litter of three kittens, but sadly, only two have made it to now, Marmalade and Socks, my two ginger babies <3 Ash was a tuxedo and it died soon after it was born. Well, we meant to get herr neutered, but we just didn't get the time and just recently, we caught a white cat fighting her, then mounting her [ possibly mating ? ] and we found a ginger tom [ the supposed father of Socks and Marmalade ] in the stable. [ yes, we keep them in a comfy stable most of the time xD ] She is a bit fatter than usual and I think she may be pregnant. I'm so excited ^_^

:c Aww that sucks, poor cat. Back to back pregnancies are hard on any animal.
But yeah, if you let her outside and she isn't spayed she's most likely pregnant again and it'll just keep happening over and over either until she dies or you get her spayed. Or you keep her inside away from intact males. You really need to make time to get her spayed when she gives birth and the kittens are old enough.
You cannot eat love, nor buy a horse with it, nor warm your halls on a cold night
