My sister went to look at a house for rent today. When we were walking out of the yard a beautiful Blue Russian was walking into the yard. It came to me and I petted it a little before we left. It was a really sweet cat. I got into the car and realized it was walking up the porch stairs towards the front door. It stopped by the door and meowed at it. The poor baby was abandoned by the previous tenants. That's so horrible. My sister is most likely going to rent the house, so she'll take him in when she does.

@The Lost soul

I got them from a grocery store, so I doubt anyone there would really know anything about the flowers. I've been watching him closely, and he is acting normal, so i'm sure he's going to be fine. I honestly don't know what type of plant food it was. The flowers came in a bouquet with plastic wrapping around them. The packet of plant food was taped to the plastic and I honestly can't remember it having any sort of brand name on it, just that it said plant food.

@lemondropkitten

We rarely have flowers in the house, I was just feeling down because of all this snow and so my dad bought some to brighten the place up. I thought if I placed them high enough and closely watched them, the cats would leave them alone. They did for those couple weeks, then for some odd reason Midnight, the cat who knocked the flowers down, suddenly decided he'd jump up and mess with them. Thank you for the concern, like I told Soul, he is acting normal, so i'm sure he's going to be fine ^.^

Not sure if I've ever mentioned this before, but Siamese is actually one of my favorite cat breeds, so I find those pictures extra adorable! I used to own a Flame Point Siamese named Snowball, she was such a sweet heart, when she wanted to be. I would absolutely love to own one again, but definitely not any time soon, haha.

    ♡ A l l y C a t ♡- I hate when people just abandon animals like that. I mean, they could have at least taken it to a shelter. Anyway, glad to hear your sister will take the cat! I love russian blues, they're absolutely gorgeous ^^
    Does the cat have any food/water/shelter? If he doesn't, maybe you should set up a little shelter for him until your sister can take him.

    Scarlet-Love97- glad to hear Midnight's okay c: we're (both cats and humans) all awfully sick of all this snow and cold, too. We got an orchid from someone for Christmas, and, surprisingly, the cats haven't touched it. Its not a very interesting orchid at the moment though, as it stopped flowering x3

    I'll try to post some more pictures of the two siamese kits. I love siamese as well <33

    Earlier today my aunt asked, if I could have any purebred kitten, what breed would I want? (Although I prefer your average moggie, I do love various purebred breeds, too.) So I was curious about what other people would answer with (I said ragamuffin. My aunt has a client with, five ragamuffins, I think? And they're very sweet and fluffy and I just love them.)

He has shelter, there's a huge dog house in the yard. We put some food and water in it for him. He looks pretty healthy right now, he's a really good weight. He just has some fur missing near his butt. I doubt he's used to living outside. :c

I can understand why people feel scared about taking the animals to a shelter. Most animals are killed there due to lack of space and if they can't afford to keep the animal alive due to health conditions.

Though that is sad. I would never abandon an animal, no matter what. I'd find some other way to transport the animal to come with me, or find someone to take it in... abandonment is betrayal, and it's cruel.

Handing them over to the shelter is still abandonment though, just a nicer version to make people feel less guilty about doing so.

    Glad to hear, ♡ A l l y C a t ♡ c:

    I agree with you, The Lost soul ^^ If I had to give up one of my cats, I would try to find it a new home myself, or find someone trusted who would foster it and find it a new home. Even dumping a cat at a "non-kill" shelter, though safer than leaving the cat outside (at least an indoor-only cat,) would be very stressful and confusing to the cat.

My cat will got missing for 3 days then return all cut up and hurt. Then once we clean him up he will sneak out again. It's been getting pretty bad lately he came home with a bent tail a few weeks ago. He will reach the handle of the door and pull it open. How to I stop him?

What kind of door is it? Depending on the door, you may be able to replace the door knob to something he can not open. When you're home, I recommend closely watching him. When he goes towards the door, shoo him away. If that doesn't work, you could always fill a spray bottle with water and spray him if he persists. While you're away or unable to watch him, do you have some sort of spare room you could put him in? Every one of my cats I currently own were strays who I brought off of the streets, so trust me, I've had these kinds of things happen to me before. Most of the cats enjoyed staying inside, though there was one who persisted and ran out of the house every chance she got. Shooing wouldn't work, so I tried the spray bottle and she quickly learned that she wasn't allowed outside anymore. I do have one more question though. Is he neutered?

Yes he is. (Thankfully) The door nob is the one where you push down and the push it open.

You mean something like this?

I have one kind of like the one in the picture for my porch door. I have a feeling if my cats were allowed out on the porch they'd also be able to use the knob and get down. Is there any way you could switch knobs and change it to a round one? Like this one?
