The people who catch wolves for fur are just idiots. Lots of those who protect the hunters say that its their job. Well then, time to find a new one! Killing amazing beasts isn't the only line of jobs in the world, become a scientist or something.
I have made a pledge to never touch real fur of any animal. Sheep, cow, bear, any. Just because I eat meat doesn't mean I'm a murderer. Chicken and fish are most of the meat that I eat, and I think that's fine :D eating crocodiles however, is a different story...

Just out of curiosity, why do you think it is fine to eat chicken and fish but not other animals? Do you value wolves lives over livestock?

So it's wrong to hunt wolves, but ok to eat fish? I'm assuming you mean you go to the store, like Fred Meyers, and buy fish? Just a commercial store that buys fish?

Duh, wolves are prettier, therefore their lives are worth 50000 times more than any old smelly fish or chicken. A quick death from a bullet from some trained 'idiot' who'll use every bit of the wolf in some way is much more terrible than all the other ways it could die. Obviously theres no way people hunt to keep the population under control, we should just leave them free and never hurt or use them for fur or meat, let them wander into the streets and get hit by cars or into farms where they'll kill some chickens/foals/other useful animal.

Wait if you eat meat whats wrong with using fur/skin of animals that are being raised for meat? Its not like leather is made by them skinning cows and just throwing the rest away.

So,you're saying ugly living things don't deserve to live nearly as much as pretty things?What if you were ugly?And you want wolves to kill useful animals,the ones we raise on farms to eat,and suffer a slow and painful death from a car??[/quote]

I think Ayngel was just being sarcastic. uwu;

I love wolves, I think they are very cute. But, guineapigs are also cute yet people still eat them. Although I am against killing wolves.

I love wolves, but I also love deer and other animals used for meat. The problem I have with killing wolves is, A:people don't need wolves to survive. Have you ever heard of someone eating wolf? Because I haven't. They're killed for their fur. B: correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't they endangered? (or at least some breeds.)

Yes, the Ethiopian wolf is almost extinct from what I've heard.

^ gray wolves have been off the endangered species list for years now. if they were still on it, they certainly wouldn't be as widely hunted. meat also isn't necessary for most humans to survive, either, so it doesn't make it any more valid of a resource than fur.
besides, just because the meat isn't being eaten doesn't mean it's not being used.

I don't really see why anyone would use real animal fur for anything.

because it's great for art, religious things, clothing, crafts, decoration, the list goes on. real animal fur and skin is used in countless things, from shoes to important religious items. it's a heck of a lot warmer, softer, practical, and environmentally friendly then fake fur.
