Was there something he was previously used for? Perhaps a sport that required horses only to use the right turn? Perhaps he is just completely and totally right handed and becomes an absoulte mess when going left.
Horses aren't naturally straight. they only go straight if they are being chased by a predator, running with the herd, or if they are taught.
I know that American racehorses are terrible at rights because all they know is left. British/English racehorses are the opposite.
