@ Horse's Soul: Excuse me? I was approaching the matter in a calm, polite way. I have excellent manners, thank you very much, and I do not need lessons. I do not see how I was being rude? I was simply posting my speculations.
How is it that you are in a picture that is not yours? And how is your trainer in a picture that you do not own? All of those pictures are from different websites. It's obvious none of them are yours. In the future, please refrain from being so rude to me, as I was not mean to you in the slightest way. There's a difference between rude and simply posting my theory.

Soooo exited to ride Soda Pop! I hope he'll work for me. I'm used to lazy horses.

So I was talking with my best friend last night, she had just gotten off Q, and apparently my instructor could tell I was In love with. Hmmmm??? I wonder what gave that off? That fact that I was constantly giving him slap-pats, scratches, and hugs on the neck? Scratching his rump? Or obbbsessing over every freaking perfect detail after each excercise or saying that he was such a good/amazing/perfect boy. Well anyways, she got the message. Lol. I love that horse. Half my conversation with my bestie last night was about him. I want that horse! Or at least a lease. Hmmmm...

Please try not to get into an arugement. @horses soul, you just shouldn't have claimed them to be urs, or at least said the pictures were not of the horses and not your own. That would stop the confusion and any arguments.

I have recently been lookin at videos on YouTube and people seem to have a thing against spurs. I wondered what peoples opinion was as I ride in them everyday.

I have nothing against spurs if they are used correctly. If you have a solid leg that does not slid and now how to use them in moderation. Some people *Coughmyoldtrainercough* will get onto horses and jab them into the horse's sides the whole time and kick them hard with the inch long suckers, just becuase they have heavy hands and were slowing the horse down. My old trainer also rode a hunter jumper mare with a dressage whip and when ever she refused she would lash her with it, even if she had not bothered to set her up or anything and it was all her fualt. Afrtical aids are good when used correctly, but can be horriable in the long hands. Spurs, drawn reins, crops, and ect. I have never heard of an agrument against spurs, but know that most people loathe draw reins.

If a adult person would have spurs when riding a Icelandic, they would probably do nothing, unless they lift their heels up. So no personal oppinion on using then. Not really sure why some are made so long though, I mean it's not like you have to stab to horse with them... Nothing against them if used correctly and reasonably. I'd prefer the short ball/round end ones rather than the flat end type, as the ball ended look less risky to actually hurt the horse. But what do I know, I have never used them and never will. See my ankles are same level as Heta's belly, so no point really to use spurs and she moves just fine with just leg and occasional whip touch/tap.
Can we pretend that the airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now...

Denz was beaten with a whip, need any help just ask. He was beaten very bad, so bad he had no trust and bucked when you asked for canter. That's because he was beaten to canter so naturally bucked

I have schooled denzel with draw reins and so has my old instructor. He kept on poking his nose to one side so I only used them 5 times ish so he knew what a straight line was. He also didn't know an outline so we tried passo lunging and it worked until you sat on his back! Most awkward pony ever

Why do people have to be so cruel to their horses? I mean, I went to this farm where their horse was barely fed anything, and as skinny as a stick. I felt so bad, I just wanted to pull it out of there.
More likely steal it. :J) Just kidding, I'm being my original self.

@Hanoverian ;; Yes, I completely agree with you. Meaning, why be so harsh when people use spurs, properly? I guess you would be offended if someone kicked the crap out of a horse with spurs on. Just get a whip to get them going, or lightly tap the horse with the back of your heel with the spurs on. You can use them properly, not just...ya know.

But it was so hilarious. This Last Summer I was on a horse named Brownie, a chocolate brown gelding, around 17 somethin' hh. I was getting him into a canter for the first time, since I had never rode him before, and the saddle was pretty damn slippery, and I started sliding forward, toward his shoulder, but he kept going. I lost my footing in the stirrup, but I practically bailed by jumping off. Everyone was laughing by the time I got up again, when my face was covered in sand. I mean, what is a 12 year old supposed to do? Go down with the ship? lol. I was kinda afraid to fall into Brownie's shoulder...
