child from day one I was a horse person. It wasnt until 7th grade did I ever get one. by 10th grade we were flooded out and had to get rid of them right away. I am still a horse at heart. Though I know I will never get to have one until long long from now.

NEVER give up they are worth it

I suggest working/volunteering with horses at local barns or shelters. You gain lots of expirience, and you could use "its my job" as an excuse to be around them with your parents 8D
But if you feel you dont have a passion for them, and want to stop dreaming...then horses may not be for you. But hang in there! I know how you feel :)

Dont Give Up, When I Was 5-7 I DREAMED To Go America, And Around 2008-2009 I Went There For My Birthday. So Never Give Up. It May Take Longer Than Mine, But My Dream Came True.

should you GIVE UP!?!?! ABSOLUTELY NOT!

you think youve got it hard, asking and begging for three years? try begging for 14 and riding for 11 and still not having one... -.- but! i dont give up because horses are my life, my passion, my love. the only thing that really seems to keep me alive believe it or not. from the second i sat on a pony, i knew i was made for it and the rest of my life would revolve around them. unfortunately, us horse girl that love them unconditionaly to death, have an expenssive hobby and yes, thats the most heartbrwaking part. the f***ing econemy! i still ride, we have enough for at least that, but no i dont own a horse and i have a feeling i wont for a while. not until i get a job and a car:/ so i know it will come to me with hard work and perservierance so heres what i suggest for you because it can happen

~first. instea of money, volentier at a local barn and get to know horses better
~now money, if you love them to death, get your babysitting license and babbysit your butt of girl! walk some dogs, mow some old guys lawns. its summer! your neighborhood is ready to hand you buckets of cash no matter your age!
~now get down to buisness. dont sit your parents down right way. go online and check out financial websites about owning horses. one of the most expenssive things on the planet. you could find out the total cost for a year and divide it by twelve (months) and thats how much it costs just to keep your horse for one month. (which is usualy aroun 5 or 6 hundred) USE everything TO YOUR KNOWLEDGE, TOYS, VET, FARRIER, BOARDING, TRAINING. not to mention your first month of the downpayment on your horse and the tack:/
~get more money
~nope more money
~ok~ sit down with your parents and seriously talk about the financial buisness of it. if their not horse people... thats all they wanna hear is the money part of it. like my parents. no, its not gunna be a happy conversation. its going to be an expenssive one.
~beg your butt off and get that horse!:D

yea... imstill in the process of this... bit please dont give up:)

If your parents don't want to pay maybe you could work out with them that maybe you'd pay for one lesson every month or something like that. Or you could try to find a stable where you can work for lessons.

:C I'm sorry to hear this! I know exactly what position you are in. Once you grow up you can always have a horse if thats what you want! Waiting for that though is horrible, I understand. So how about you just learn all you can about horses, from their care to riding them. That way, you will already know loads whenever you do start riding or buy a horse.
