My rabbit is an outside rabbit has his own cage and doesn't like other rabbits. Well he was just dropped off in a friend yard so I took him in he loves to play with my baby chicks though I think he thinks he's more of a chicken then a rabbit. He is very friendly to me though he squirms sometime I let him down on the ground he hops then comes back. He has never bit me or my family he loves his hay and alfalfa and whole corn.

You're not feeding him fresh corn, are you? It's dangerous for rabbits and can cause intestinal impaction.

Nope not fresh corn just whole corn as in corn that's dryed

Thank you! He is an old guy, he is already like seven years old... it's crazy! He isn't quite yet a senior, but close.

Can someone help me?
My rabbit thumps a lot and I need to know why he's always grumpy to.

A good way to bond with your rabbit is to get an x-pen and sit inside of it with him. Don't try to pet him/ grab him but have some healthy treats with you and put them in your hand and see if he will come up to you himself. Then maybe he will get closer and start letting you pet him.
Thumping means that they are upset and or scared of something, so if he is always "grumpy" he may be afraid of you. Bonding will definitely help a lot. Also look at his environment and make sure he has plenty of room and their isn't anything that will frighten him. My rabbit Simba is very grumpy sometimes, it may be because he's getting old or maybe he just like his space. But yeah try bonding with him and hopefully it helps
