Um, what? Rabbits can't throw up. That's impossible. They don't have a gag reflex.

While rabbits technically can't vomit, if food gets stopped up in the esophagus, it can come back up and exit through either the nose or the mouth.

Hello,

I wasn't here for a few weeks, so I think I should introduce myself again :D

My name is Daniela, I'm from Germany (so sorry for all the mistakes I make in here, English isn't my first language, I learn it at school ;) ).

I own 5 rabbits and I'm doing Kaninhop (bunny show jumping) since 2011 at home and since 2012 at a club. This year I helped making a new club in the town I live (before that I had to drive around 40 min to go to the training, now it is only 10 minutes).

Now a few facts to my view on rabbits:
- I don't like single keeping on rabbits and I have other bonding methods (in Germany we have other methods)
- I'm a big fan of healthy food and do not like most of the food you can get at pet stores
- I own two female rabbits and both are not spayed / I only get my does spayed if there is a medical reason
- I prefer outdoor rabbits (of course in a save hutch), but I like the advantages of having indoor rabbits too
- I don't like small cages for rabbits, I prefer them to have a big hutch and a run
But: This is my opinion and I am not one of this persons who only think their opinion is right - I'm open to others opinions ;)

So, this are my "flying" rabbits:

Monty, neutered male, mixed breed, 3 and a half years old
Image

Kovu, male, mixed breed, 2 years old
Image

Jumper, neutered male, purebreed "Englischer Schecke" (german version of the english spot), 5 and a half years old
Image

Princess, female, purebreed "Zwergfuchskaninchen" (german breed, similar to the Jersey Wooly), 2 years old
Image

Kiara, female, mixed breed, 1 year old
Image

Monty and Kovu are living together and the other 3 are living together.

At night they have to be in their hutch.
One is 132 x 84 cm (= 52 x 33 inches), the other one is 135 x 115 cm (= 53 x 45 inches).
Both have 2 levels.

Before school (around 7 am) I take them in their run and I take them back in their hutch around 7 pm.
Their runs are pretty large, with all extensions one run has 6,5 m² (I have two runs, one per group).

So if they are any questions, feel free to ask ;)

One of my lovey rabbits have decided to dig a hole in their pen. I wonder if one of the does is building a nest

She might have been choking. I've had to save a rabbit from choking once... quite a scarey event....

DaniVik: Awesome pictures, as always! lol Such cute bunnies! <3

-------------------------------------------------------------

In other news, I am leaving the house soon to meet a friend who is bringing a rabbit up for me. She picked him up while she was at the Ohio Mini Convention. :) He's a chinchilla jersey wooly buck. Can't wait to meet him! I've named him Dexter. lol The lady I bought him from has been sending me pictures since February when he was a tiny little guy. <3 He is in a molt right now, but she said he still got great comments and placed in the top 5 of the 9 junior bucks in his class. So that's cool. :) Dexter is from Wisconsin, and now he'll be living with me in Michigan. :P

how do you post an attachment?
Goatlings I'm Greenbunny1998 on Goatlings and PokèFarm Q too :D
Rabbit facts:
Male rabbit called a buck and female rabbit called a doe
Carrots are unhealthy for rabbits
Rabbit teeth never stop growing
Female rabbit gives birth to their young after a month (pregnant for only a month)
Female rabbits will create their nest within one week before they give birth
Females will feed their young twice a day
Female rabbits after feeding their young will leave the young until next feeding
Baby rabbits will have full body of fur after one week
Baby rabbits are born with eyes closed
Baby rabbits will open their eyes within 10 - 18 days
You should never pick up a rabbit by their ears it causes them serious pain

My favourite animal is rabbits so I don't trade my bunnies. Never give up, you are all amazing. Achieve your dreams, look forward and not back and carry on being amazing.

Feel free to send me PM, trade, art customs you want me to do etc. I definitely will gladly help anyone with CS or other website i'm on and talk about animals and help with anything you would like to know about rabbits :D Please don't be afraid to ask any questions :D.

Is there a difference in personality in Doe and Buck Angoras? I am doing research on them, I would really like one in the future :)
