My first rabbit died because she was attacked by a fox. I closed their cage every evening. But not that evening. I can't remember why, but I send my brother to do so. He didn't do it correctly and Tiffy was killed. THe only good thing about that was, that she was attacked a bit outside the cage and a part of the bars fell down so the fox coudn't get Lilly as well. I like to think that Tiffy died protecting her better half (cause that was what she always did)...
The next rabbit we put to Lilly was Cookie. Obviously she was taken away from her Mom too soon. She couln't live on real food only at that time. But when we realised, it was too late. Because of her we became a lot more coutios wenn buying a rabbit. WE only hat Cookie for 5 days.
The third rabbit that died was Bella. Though my rabbits are inocculated she got meningitis (but I think thats a disease you can't protect them from). We tried to cure her for two weeks but I woulnd't work. SIe couldn't walk streight anymore, coulnd't go on her backfeet or just lift her head a bit to drink. She wouldn't eat on her own (but her favourite candy -.- ), one of her eardrums was totally destroyed and the brain sore. We had to put her to sleep when we realised she woulnd't get over that disease. It was really horrible and the vet was afraid that Bella also infected Lilly or someone of my family since that is very likely. But thanks god that didn't happen.
Though some of the deaths are already a long tie ago, I think I'll never stop missing my precious ladys. But I'm sure I'll see them all at the rainbowbridge one day ^^

I still miss you every day. You weren't just a little bunny but true perfection. At least now I know that someone is taking care lovingly of all our rabbit friends that already had to leave.

Ever since I put the rabbits on pasture they haven't really ate their hay :/ a few will eat the pellets but the rest eat grass only. But their weights are still good and they all look healthy.

Well, grass is pretty much just hay that hasn't matured yet, so there shouldn't be any problems x)

True but there's different types of grass just like there is hay. I'm not sure what kind of grass we have.
It may not have all the nutrients they need

The talk of rabbit deaths is a little depressing...(I've lost two due to illness that couldn't be helped, but my other 3 are great) so I though I'd bring up something better- babies!

These pictures are 4 years old, but they're of my dutch doe, River's first (and last) litter! I found them on my mom's computer while I was going through it <3
They were dutch/dwarf crosses, and some of the best little rabbits I've ever had the joy of meeting. Too bad we could only keep one, haha.

Pero, those babies are adorable! <3, What one did you keep? ^^

Also, think there might be something going on with Dash and Snowy
Saw a cat on the fence behind us, cat wasen't taking any notice of the buns. Dash came out, jumped up and saw the cat, snowy thought she was attacking her, so Snowy goes and jumps back at Dash, they both chased eachother into the shed.
They've been out this morning, acting totally fine, but very quite today.

Few days ago I went with my bunny to vet for vaccination. This time the vet decided to look at Pusia info in computer and she was like "Wow, she is really eight years old? She looks like a very young bunny" and I was so happy my Pusia looks so good for her age <3

Her personality might change a bit. Some does get mighty grumpy. lol Hormones. ;P
I am terrible at palpating (that's what they call it when you are checking her abdomen for babies). At 2 weeks, you might be able to feel grape sized babies. I usually wait until 3 weeks and then try because it can be much easier to tell since the babies are larger by then. You can use Google for rabbit palpating methods... you tube even. lol

Daisywolf14 wrote:I'm breeding her to a broken blue buck she is a broken tort so you would think I would get a lot of Charlie's but my leader said that rabbits from their lines that she breeds have not throghn a Charlie yet so fingers crossed I won't get any but I know I am going to get a penut or two because she is a true dwarf. Also hoping I get a blue tort if I do get one I will keep it for sure! Oh boy I'm excited!! Lol my holland has a solid black mom and a broken tort dad and her mom has a blue parent. So if any one could give me a guess on what I could get I would appreciate it.

To get blues (or anything else dilute), both parents need to carry the dilute gene. So if your doe has a blue in her pedigree there is a chance she might carry it. :) I've had rabbits carry the dilute gene from much further back... generations not even on the pedigree. lol As for charlies, if you breed two brokens there is a 50% chance for brokens and then a 25% chance for charlies and a 25% for solids. :) So, yes there is a small chance for charlies and even solids. lol Good luck! I hope you get that blue tort. ;)

i ended up breeding her to a broken sable point who carries REW and Dilute so fingers corssed she has some blue grandparents and a REW grandparent. This week is her last week and i can see them moveing around so im very happy.

This morning I went outside to feed Simba and waffles and I set there food down, then I went to go get them water. When I got back waffles was acting super weird and clawing at her face, and fell over. So I picked her up and she threw up.... Do you think something got stuck in her throat? Or what do you think happened?

Baby wise black torts and broken black torts for sure.
You could also get seal point, sable point, or rew.
If they both carry dilute, add blue tort/broken blue tort, and blue point/broken blue point into the above.
