Oh yeah, true. I didn't mean it that way, it's just that a there are a lot of rabbit hutches that are too small for certain bunnies.

My rabbits cage is VERY small for the rabbit

To Me Rabbits And Guinea Pigs are OutSide animals. So mine do not Come into my House..

My rabbits don't come in my house either.
i had a rabbit a few years ago and she lived in the spare room in the house, and it was the biggest mess and stink ever.
don't get me wrong, i love my bunnies right now to death
but we ended up selling this one because of the mess.
i have 2 new ones now, like you know Marley and Jasper, and their bolth living outdoors now, in a hutch.
my friend has had rabbits living outside for 5 years now and their all perfectly fine, so i agree 1000% with you.

[the only time my rabbits come in is when it's a snowstorm, we've had a few already and we put them in separate cages and lay them in the heated porch of my house by the boot closet and door]

Yeah my rabbits don't come in the house either unless we get a heat wave or I have a one have a small litter in the winter time like now. My Neatherland Dwarf had babies Thanksgiving day and they don't have big litters so I had to bring her in the house and she will stays there until her kits are weaned. I don't have a big problem with smell though since I have clean her house out like every 3 day, but don't get me wrong rabbits diffidently can but out some stink which mainly comes from their pee.

^ yeah, thats mostly what i find. the pee smells awful,
i have a dog that really isint a big fan on the rabbits, and the smell would drive her nuts.
and both my bunnies are females, so i don't have to worry about kits dying, and i dont have to worry about heat waves, because were i live we get no hotter then 25 degrees in the summer, but we often get -20 and sometimes lower in the winter.

Ugh. I hate waiting. I wish I was better at palpating... Only 2 weeks, 4 days til a much anticipated litter of kits is(hopefully) born. I have two (hopefully) pregnant does at the moment, my homebred girl Hannah is hopefully expecting kits to a gorgeous broken harlequin buck, who has an AWESOME mane. I am pretty sure I've felt babies inside, but not 100%. I'm hoping for a lovely broken doe to keep back.

My other doe, a new girl still in quarantine, is a BEW with SO much hair. She looks like an angora, I've been often told, but I have her pedigree and its all lionhead. She was bred to a full pedigree black buck before coming here. I have next to no information about her genetics, nor what she's produced, but I'm hoping for a buck to hold back who's got some big vienna markings. She is due Dec 18th.

We're entering the part of the breeding process that I hate, though. Around 18 to 21 days. This is when most does who have a false pregnancy(were bred, but it didn't take) will end up nesting. Even if I get early nesting behaviour, I'm going to keep waiting, as my breeding plans didn't take into account these particular matches. If Hannah doesn't take, then I do have the option of breeding to the broken buck again, which is lovely, as I am trying to get broken into my breeding program(I just love the look).

My rabbits live in my house. In fact, the reside in my bedroom. I love mine to pieces and yes, while the mess the timothy hay, stray poo, and fur makes on my floor is irksome, but it can always be swept up and then I can vaccume (I get the feeling I spelled that wrong XD ) my carpet. I killed 2 vaccumes trying to clean up the mess without sweeping, one of them was a shopvac. XD My family jokingly calls me the serial vaccuum killer. I even call myself that sometimes. My room has never quite recovered from its messy state it's gotten into over the years because of my rabbits, but I know it's partially my fault because I didn't clean my room and organize it before I got my first rabbit four-five years ago. It's slowly getting better, I'm hoping to get it clean and orderly before Christmas. XD

You know what's funny...hopefully I'm not the only rabbit owner and lover who does this, but I bought two small stockings at the Dollar Tree and I hung them above my rabbits' cages. They each have their own, I'm planning to put a carrot or two or a small toy in their stockings on Christmas Eve night for Christmas and then give it to them in the morning. XD I did something like it for one of my hamsters, I got a carrot and tied a little bow around it and put it in their cage and retrieved the bow before they ate it or something. I'm tempted to put a piece of fake coal in one of my rabbit's stockings for Christmas because they've bitten me one too many times recently, but I decided that I probably did something in their mind to deserve the bites so I should give them treats anyways.

Anyway, do any of you folks do anything like that? Allow your pet to celebrate a holiday with you?
