I'm on the newer side when it comes to breeding, so I was just wondering how long after a doe makes a nest does she give birth? My other rabbit made her nest the day she gave birth..

When I bred my bunny, who sadly past. She ripped out all her fur on her stomach not sure how long before, but I remember the day when I let her out of her cage and she grabbed every thing in my room that was comfortable they day before. I knew she was going to give birth and I had problems to go to sleep. Then I herd a a small noise and checked, she had giving birth to 5 babies. All healthy, I remember running to my fathers room at like 4 in the morning to show them to him

So basically she had made a nest before but then they day before she really finished it.

Yes, I had kits, as well, and my doe made the nest the day she gave birth to seven cute babies... :3

I have no idea unfortunately, I rescued him from a guy I go to school with. He was dumped off with some other rabbits his house and he going to "use them for target practice if no one takes 'em." *shivers* He is a sweetheart though! Right now he is making a lot of noise by banging his cage. It's 10:47 pm here and he better not wake up my dad... DX

Aww! I bet, rabbits are always so sweet c: I looked at the other pictures of Charlie; he is such a cutie!
Mine likes to do that too, (jump around her cage) and binky/ sprint back and fourth

Rabbits are some of the sweetest pets I think I've ever had. c: Charlie likes to bang against his cage door. >.> It's amazingly annoying.

^^He looks like a Holland Lop or a cross of one. I breed Holland Lops and can honestly say he has some in him. Very cute by the way XD

Yes, some Holland Lops can have blue eyes...but so do many other breeds. One of my females is going to have a litter soon, and I really want her to have a black and white one with blue eyes XD <---- A keep right there XP Lol

Hey. I have two rabbits, Snowy and Buster. They're both local breed mixes, I don't know much about rabbit breeds. But I just luff them to death, and oh, I'm gonna feed them soon

They did? Well, I've only had one litter of kits and only one died! Here is what I'd do:
-First, take your doe inside.

-Second, put her in a room like a bathroom, laundry room, etc, and leave her alone until she gives birth.

-Third, when you are sure she has given birth, you must let the babies stay with their mom for a bit, and if you see that the mom isn't feeding them, time to intervene,

-Fourth, if the mom refuses to feed, then take her and hold her still while the babies eat (The Vet said so...)

-Enjoy them while they are young!

Yes I heard, my bunny who passed ( and also just talked about her, its not her in the pictures tough) first litter died, the second litter was healthy (as I said) and third litter she died (the momma) ;(

I guess it happens to many bunnies since they do not know what to do the first time.

I love bunnies, Im hopping to breed my female when she is old enough (baby picture of her are on the other page) since it is so much fun!
