Mine don't fight each other as they have been together from day one..
and the people i brought my rabbits have theirs together so they are use to each other..

So please don't you tell me i can't have them together..as i know my animals and what they need so i'm sorry but i'll do what my animals like better

i have had both rabbits & guinea pigs together for 18 years and my mother has breed rabbits and had them with guinea pigs for over 30 years and have not had one problem..

My rabbits and guinea pigs get Jack Rabbit, Rabbit & Guinea pig food and Fresh veggies every day..
So please don't treat me as if i don't know what i'm doing. as i do..

Just because something has been done for many years doesn't make it automatically the good thing to do.

I'm not talking about fights, though, yes, that's also a possible issue. (But when you say they've been together from day one, does that mean as newborns?)

I'm talking about the fact that a happy rabbit, or a startled rabbit, or a rabbit simply being a rabbit, can stomp or kick out and accidentally injure or kill a guinea pig. There have been many many incidents of broken bones and backs and death to guinea pigs due to rabbit cage mates. Rabbits have very powerful hind legs, and guinea pigs are comparatively fragile. The bigger the rabbit, the bigger the risk, but even tiny dwarf rabbits have the potential to cause harm.

Guinea pigs need additional vitamin C or they become ill and can die. Rabbits don't need additional vitamin C and too much will make them ill and can kill them. I don't know anything about that food you're feeding, but it simply cannot be the best there is for both rabbits and guinea pigs.

And most importantly, there are diseases such as pasteurella and bordetella that is quite common among rabbits. They can carry it for their entire life without ever showing symptoms (and the tests can commonly give false negatives). However, guinea pigs have more fragile respiratory systems and thus are more likely to die if they'd catch it. They're far more likely to catch it when living together with rabbits.
When there's nothing left to burn you have to set yourself on fire.

Whoops I wandered off to Flight Rising instead. There on account #7153.

This will be the last time i see your comments. i'll just skip them from now on..
My rabbits and Guinea pigs are fed in different Yards so that they get what is need for them(Then are let back in with eachother As they Fret). And yet again i know what rabbits and guinea pigs need so i do not need you telling me ..So stop Trying to treat me like a little Child as i am not one..
I Don't think it is kind to my Animals as they Fret for each other when they are taken apart..
And i think i will listen to MY VET When he tells me they are fine together Not some Random Stranger(that i never asked to say anything about my animals)..
The rabbits i first got were born in the same cage as the Guinea pigs , And have grown up together.. and my 2 new ones were kept with others at the places they came from.

This is what happens when I get bored xD But they were really fun to make and didn't take that long at all. =) Perhaps they're applicable to some other rabbits on this thread, because they certainly sum up mine. xD

LOL, i laughed so hard while reading these xP
My rabbits are like that too,
I bought them a new chew toy the other day, and insted of chewing that, they chewed up all the insulation of the hutch [Not the pink fluffy stuff, it's a material that's suppose to be animal friendly]

And when i try to clean the hutch, i open the big door for them to go outside, and they just stay there sitting on the bedding that i need to take up -.-

Omg, That happens to me all the time. I'll give my rabbit a treat, and they'l let it drop and go eat some of their plain food. >.< And when I need to clean their cages, they'l attack the brush.

Mine attack the brush too, and the little dust pan
they'll come over, take it in their mouths and throw it half way across the hutch xP

Haha, my rabbit attacks the brush too! He's always had some sort of hatred towards that brush. I'll be brushing up the garden with it after him, and he'll run up and actually attack the brush with his claws and stamp his feet loudly until I finish brushing up and put it away. xD

And goodness knows how much money I've spent on treats only for him to like them one day and detest them the next. So many things get wasted because he's so particular with his food. -.-
