TW: Lots of bugs, including spiders and other "creepy crawlies"!

When given any opportunity to share stuff about my animals I will always dive in head first, my primary hobby is keeping a growing collection of invertebrates, mostly isopods currently but I'm slowly expanding! Making this thread for the purpose of having an easy profile link to see my animals, but any questions are welcomed!

Will gradually be working on this to make it look nicer, my first priority is just getting together the up to date animal list

I currently keep a large collection of live bugs, mostly isopods atm! These are kept simply out of a passion for keeping cool looking bugs, I love working with animals and keeping invertebrates is a good way to maintain a collection of many different species while still having a lot of time and money to spare, since they're relatively low maintenance and low cost (aside from money spent on expensive species).

Currently, my main goal is working on figuring out how to breed and raise blue death feigning beetles, since their recent spike in popularity and our lack of knowledge on breeding them in captivity has led to a lot being removed from the wild.

I'm also trying to find a recipe for homemade silkworm food, to help increase accessibility for those who don't have access to lots of mulberry leaves but want to sustain silkworm cultures, since the only artificial food options are very expensive and the recipe is hidden information.

I want to note that these are not all suitable beginner species, and that this is not a care guide in the slightest, I'm just sharing my silly bugs. I mention low maintenance and cost, but that does not necessarily mean easy, they are a low time commitment but some still require maintaining very specific conditions to thrive. Please do thorough research before getting any animal.

Some information here is sourced from data on Mastigoproctus giganteus, as there is very little information about M. tohono in particular. For a long time it was considered a sub-species of M. giganteus, and is incredibly hard to differentiate because of how similar the two are. Some older/outdated sources still treat M. tohono as an M. giganteus sub-species.
