I personally prefer fluffy short-haired animals, because I find them to be very nice to the touch! Only applies to cats and dogs, I haven't petted any rats yet xD

Depends on the general appearance of the animal. I don't find hairless animals yucky and I like hairless dogs. I can't say I prefer one over the other, though.

I'm cool with both... Hairless pets require much more care though.

I love both but what I love most is my hairless Chinese Crested dog Chloe...

It was funny, my family were skeptical about having a hairless dog and I think felt a little icky about the idea, but not we can't stop touching her, lol. She is so warm and soft my mom refers to her like a genie in a bottle, you just want to keep rubbing her.

I didn't adopt her because she was hairless, but I really enjoy that about her. It has it's downsides of course, but I would certainly be open to another hairless dog in the future. I would also like to have a Sphynx cat and a hairless rat one day. I'd also love to have a Peruvian Inca Orchid someday. I wouldn't necessarily say I perfer hairless though, as I'm more concerned with the temperament of an animal then their appearance.

Both!

I've owned quite a handful of pets in my life and really, I have come to love both hairy and hairless animals. One of biggest benefits of having a hairless animal (such as a dog or cat) is that you dont get their hair everywhere, which I hear pet owners complain about all the time if they own dogs or cats that shed a lot all year round. As well as that, they're a great choice for people who want a pet but are allergic to animal dander.

But of course I love animals with hair too! I've owned a dalmatian before, who shed a lot, but his fur was super soft and nice to pet. I also looked after my family friend's dog before, who is a samoyed, and his fur is the most fabulous I have ever seen! I also currently have a long haired hamster, whom I love to bits.

That being said, here's my two hairless kitties, Armani and Kiara, if anyone is interested!

Aren't hairless mammals kinda awkward to pet because it feels almost as if you're petting a human?

Def fur! I like my animals with fur, I could even say that I'm a fan of long hair! Cats, dogs, hamsters... I prefer them with long hair! Just because I think they're more beautiful and I always loved the touch of fluffy hair, it calms me since I'm sensitive to textures ^^
