I recommend putting your puppy with the cats before she gets older other wise she will never have saw them, and right now the dog is about the same size as the cat so the cat won't feel as threatened.

Think antlers are way to hard for such a young puppy, even the half ones, some say are alright, they could hurt there baby and lasting adult teeth under them.... there are other more soft things to chew on...rabbit ears a friend of our family gives her puppys or young dogs...or cow ears...
or even a frozen carrot or apple...
Please klick them or they will die°°!!!

I disagree with you, I think puppies need something hard to chew on when teething. I wouldn't want to chew on something soft, all I'm saying is that it helps my aussie with her biting. I have always given my dogs antlers from day one and none of them have any problems. So, I guess it's up to the owner of they decide to give antlers or not.

Antlers are way to hard for such a young pup there better for adults. The best thing is too offer would be cows ears or pigs ears. You can break a puppies teeth on antlers.

I've had SO many puppies and they all had antlers, they were all fine. Do you know by experience or by reading it because I personally think antlers are great for there teeth and my vet knows I give them to my dogs and has said nothing about them being bad for them. I personally disagree, this is my opinion and you can have your own. Actually, if you look up "are antlers safe for puppies teeth" the first thing to pop up is yes they are great for them so I'm not sure where your getting your information from. I would also like to inform you that pig ears can cause disease and are not safe for puppies unlike deer antlers.

Experience I use to breed to GSD's it also states on the products themselves puppies older than six months. We also had a lurcher who broke a tooth on my old GSD's antler when she got hold of it.

Established in 2004, Antos specialises in chews and treats for all dogs and pride themselves on a large and diverse product range sourced from all over the world, with great quality at the heart of them all.

This 100% natural and long lasting Fallow Antler Dog Chew contains no artificial additives, chemicals or preservatives, is eventually ground down and leaves very little odour or mess.

Fallow antlers are softer than regular red deer antlers and are flat in shape.

Suitable for all dogs including puppies older than 6 months.

Dogs should be supervised at all times whilst feeding as antlers may splinter.

Go to Bing homepage
are antlers safe for puppies

Yes! It is perfectly fine; actually it's extremely healthy to let your dogs chomp away on an antler. Deer or Elk antlers are safe for all dogs and greatly improve their dental health. Using antlers as a natural chew toy has become increasingly popular with the rising trend of using organic, natural ingredients for your pets in feed or treats.

Antler chews are horrible especially for teething puppies. Puppies are babies if you give them antler chews you will damage their teeth and risk a hefty vet bill for a fractured tooth. The only reason stores sell them is for adult dogs not puppies.

Even I know this and i am shocked you are giving an antler chew to such a young puppy but it's not my place to try and convince you otherwise just remember fractured teeth can happen.

I wouldn't riskfractured teeth just because internet says they are safe.
