Week 1 with new puppy I am irritated the puppy excite peeseverytimr I come out of my room in morning. No matter how much I try not to excite her she always ends up peeing and I always end up cleaning it up.

So while I love my dog I sm frustrated with her behavioral issues.

It ain't getting any easier the whole family is irritted we're foing training classes next week with a professional trainer at petco. Also puppy playtime as well so she'll get her socialization and won't bug our cats.

I am also concerned about the petco trainer she said positive dog training which I hope doesn't mean she's going to tell us to ignore the bad behavior.

I'm not sure if this is an option but, maybe if she sleeps in your bed with you she won't get so excited. This works with a dog I watch a lot, if she's in another room sleeping and I come in she will whine and bark, but not if she sleeps with me.

mierose wrote:Honey and I have been having a lot of fun lately! We've started practicing backyard agility and it's been a blast as she's incredibly smart and also incredibly food motivated. So far we've mastered some jumps (her nickname is Honey Bunny, she'll jump with or without a hoop or hurdle), and she's just started to pick up weave poles, though they're quite spaced out as she's just started. I was concerned about tunnels but as I mentioned, she's very food motivated and will go over and through anything for a treat. She doesn't seem fearful and zooms right through, and if it's a good enough treat, she'll very excitedly hop/bounce through, which is cute but something we may need to work on. Anyway, we've been having tons of fun and it's really helped to curve her destructive tendencies now that she has something to put her energy into. Very good things all around <33

Be careful doing jumps with your dog if she is under a year, if she is under a year it can cause hip and leg injuries later in life.

started deacon on some hip and joint pills since he's getting older now, and he does a lot of tricks/stunts involving jumping and such, as well as just, running. He turned 6 in march! He's getting some little white hairs on his face, its actually kinda cute. Hoping for at least 5-7 more years with my spunky son of a gun! I love him so so much

She's not house broken yet So I don't trust her in my room yet.

It can take a while.
It took Gizmo over a week to calm down.
You just got a puppy - it takes time for them to adjust and learn. It’s frustrating, but very expected.

Gizmo actually does worse in my room xp
I recently had to move him into my room due to all the raining in my area, I have had some flooding and I am a bit worried about mold in what was the dog room, so I moved him.
He whines a lot more, because he wants up on the bed. I keep him in the crate till about 6am though, to enforce consistency, and I just need my sleep. He is a big wiggly fish when he tries to sleep with me :p

We are facing some other frustrations with the rain though, as gizmo REFUSES to go out in anything other than a very mild drizzle. So while he is pretty much house trained, we have had several accidents lately do to the weather. We are suppose to be on tornado watch tomorrow (yippee-_-) and storms all week again. I am just ready for this rain to end.

Chihuahuas are annoying little dogs they bite more often than large dogs develope small dog issues and try to take on large dogs.

Sorry I just really hate chihuahuas I have never met a nice or friendly chihuahua who didn't want to tear my hand off. They are okay with their owners but other dogs and people nope.

I blame the breed itself as they can be like this even if handled properly. They are just really prone to issues behaviorially.
