A: Deacon- he wouldn't care/notice. He'd keep doing his own thing 😂
Zeus - he'd run off.

A: Chloe wouldn't notice, she prefers to stick by me anyway. If she did notice she'd likely run toward the door to go back inside. She's not an outdoorsy type dog.

He's so gorgeous! I love his coloring and his facial stripe.

She's an extremely picky eater and I'm having trouble getting her to gain weight, she's lean built but a little too lean in my opinion. She's approx. 35ish pounds and I'd like her to gain about 5ish pounds. Any recommendations? I have her on Pure Balance Grain Free (she's allergic to grains) Bison kibble and to get her to eat, I give her venison and chicken.

This little twerp got some harness time in today.
He didn't move when I first put in on for a solid 10 minutes, but within a few minutes after that he was running around and causing havoc.
Puppy expressions are the best.

Puppies are exhausting xD But so worth it.
I am pretty sure the people I got him from just had he and his litter mates out in the barn. He has got some serious separation anxiety (Yes I know he is new, but if I even walk around a corner and he can't see me he starts whining.)
He needs some good socialization.

He and the cats are adjusting fairly well. One of them doesn't seem to have a problem at all. I had an oops moment where I forgot to shut the main door to the pups room, and only left the gate up - and took a shower. When I was done I found my big cat laying in the the middle of the room totally indifferent, and the pup was happily chewing on his chew. (no scratches, I checked) I have since separated them unsupervised. The other cat seems to be having a much harder time - but I am not going to force matters. She'll warm up eventually.
So say goodbye to the old, and hello to that rainbow road ...

Some people cant afford raw.

Mix in some egg, and coconut oil. Not only will it make her food tasty, its reslly heahty for her! Boil a little bit a chicken and add to food for weight gain.

I agree. If you are unable or unwilling to do so I'd at least mix in some canned food. And just sprinkling or mixing in some dehydrated raw may make her food more appetizing. Remember not all dogs can eat raw and kibble combined but for those that can this might be an option if you can't afford to feed raw all the time.

Besides that you can feed her smaller meals more often, feed meals out of puzzle toys and via training, rotate foods to keep her interested, and add things to her food. Things you could add is dehydrated liver powder (ground up liver treats), egg, coconut oil, and sardines. remember if you add something to her food than she'll expect it all the time so make sure your adding something healthy as well as tasty.

Also exercising her more (though not close to mealtime) may encourage a greater appetite. Also muscle weighs more than fat so getting her some more muscle will increase her weight as well. Just like people though there is a spectrum of healthy dog weights. As long as she's healthy I wouldn't worry about her being a little underweight.

i think we'd all agree, if raw wasn't so expensive (or complicated) we would all feed it.

I try and add raw to my dogs diet, but I'm unemployed 😂

Would also like to point out, the person who posted that has already had their questions answered. Their dog isn't underweight, actually pretty perfect.

Nope. Strongly disagree. Would not feed raw to my dog. If I wanted to go all out I would get a custom recipe from a Veterinary Nutritionist for a home cooked diet. Less risk, plus it's actually supported by experts.

@ captian I see where you are coming from. Somebody needs to make and sell balanced freeze dried raw. I'd buy.

@tiager Lilly

I see where you're coming from too. I need to do more research on other diets. Because id rather feed anything but kibble.
