Hi guys! I'll add pics later but I have an one year old Siberian husky female named Piper. She's an extremely picky eater and I'm having trouble getting her to gain weight, she's lean built but a little too lean in my opinion. She's approx. 35ish pounds and I'd like her to gain about 5ish pounds. Any recommendations? I have her on Pure Balance Grain Free (she's allergic to grains) Bison kibble and to get her to eat, I give her venison and chicken.

Edit: here's a somewhat old picture of my girl

I have a Boston terrier named Vixen, a Brittney Beagle mix named Eve, and Eve likes to chew up everything in sight, while Vixen hopes she doesn't get in trouble for it uwu

And maybe feed her fish? Eve was on salmon and rice for a while, and seemed to fill out a little then

Piper loves fish but it's somewhat out of my price range at the moment which is why I give her chicken and venison from time to time. Even then, I usually put it under her kibble so she eats her kibble first. She's slightly gained weight since I've done that

I think if you put some other meats in there that'd work too maybe? Kibble alone can do that, just depends on the kind and if you want your dog to be obsessed with food =w=''

Underweight pets should be eating foods that are around 30% protein and 20% fat if they're eating dry kibble, or 7% protein and 5% fat - remember that, check her food.

Add some food rich in Vitamin D, like chicken or beef liver. Chicken is my favorite because its cheap and dogs usually love it.

Pumpkin and sweet potato also helps.

Also feeding extra food (but DO NOT overfeed) also helps.

Piper's food is pretty balanced last I checked but I should probably check again to see the protein and fat balance. I give her a mixture of venison, chicken, green beans and carrots with her kibble which seems to really help. I should add sweet potato for sure! She actually really likes sweet taters. Thanks for your input. <3

Its way better for joint health to be slightly under than over. Do you have recent photos from the side and above? She may not be as thin as you think
Honey, it's in the stars
And you're my everything from here to Mars
And every word I say I truly mean
Dear darling, I hope I'm being clear
'Cause there's no one like you on earth
That can be my universe

I can get some pictures today if you'd like, she's a plush fur type husky so it may be hard to really see anything. She's currently sleeping, so I'll take pictures when she's awake. My biggest concern is the fact I can slightly feel her hips--which I think is way too thin.
