And my last note on the subject of e-collars, in the end it won't be my decision whether or not we get one, but one of the main reasons we're getting one is Trump has several times gotten off leash, whether due to his collar slipping off (we have fixed that problem but still) or him just running out the door (he's not usually a door bolter but still) for example, a few nights ago he got off leash at night and we could barely see him, he almost ran into the forest and it took us quite a bit to get him (some of which we couldn't even see him) Thus basically our reason for thinking about getting one, we do recall practice all the time on a long line (its probably about 30 feet idk) and he comes right away because he basically knows he has to because he's on a long line so we can easily get him. But not when he's off leash.
On another note,
(his pose and 'look' on pictures are always interesting.. he either looks bored or sad XDD)
Have you considered a reflective or light up collar to help see him better? Also they have tags/collars you can put on him and then use your smartphone to track him if he does get out.
