Welcome to owning a dog :3

I.... may or may not have laughed too hard at this. 😂

Emergency poops. They’re a thing. Lilly had one in the new house, though it was at least in the garage we could hose out and bleach the floor and not on a carpet.

Since we're on the topic of it,

I get so embarrassed by my dog.. Normally he knows to stay in the yard, but sometimes when the new neighbours leave their dog outside, he just barks and barks and my dog just runs down the hill to see what's up.
But every time he does, he just HAS to use the bathroom over everything.
I'm not just talking about peeing on all their trees and bushes, but he poops on, in, over, into, etc. EVERYTHING.
They just planted some new flowers, and just this past weekend he pooped on every single one of them! Then he angled his butt into their bushes and left some on there too!
I don't know how or why, but once he starts, he just goes and goes until he's covered everything.
I feel so bad. All the while he's doing it, I'm still running down the hill trying to get him and stop him, but once he's down there, he never listens.

Ugh. I know he's a dog, but why must he do that every time?? I love him with all my heart, and I don't hate him for it, but I always feel so bad for the neighbours. :c

So it happened.

My dogs saw a squirrel.

Thor and Lilly chased it across the yard. Thor hit the wood fence with his paws. the video my brother sent was actually amusing. The squirrel is fine, there was a hole in the bottom of the fence where it got away to safety.

The dogs have lived far enough away from trees and such that they hadn’t ever really seen squirrels before?
Rabbits and just about any other country wildlife they’ve seen. Squirrels? Nope. First time seeing them yesterday.

well. power didn’t go out during florence but the tail end of michael decided to come our way and the dogs freaked when the power went out. piper won’t leave the step to go outside cause it’s raining xD the boys do their business and get to the gate so that’s a plus. they’ve been going out in the rain for three days now. i officially hate the smell of wet dog

I need somebody to help me choreograph a k9 freestyle for my schools talent show! If you can help please pm me <3 totally open to learn new tricks that wont take longer than 3 months to train, Deac's a fast learner most of the time, I'm just a bad trainer!

Also, I really need to get weight off zeus, he's very toy motivated so we've been playing ball but i need some other ideas!

Kikopup's youtube channel has a lot of trick and freestyle displays.

Zeus - Try feeding only in puzzle toys/doled out during training. Play hide and go seek (he can seek you, food, or his toys). Also cutting back on food (many people feed too much without realizing it) is a major factor in weight loss. Dog sports are an idea if he can physically handle them or they can be modified for him.

Jack Russells are awesome. I know one at my local fly ball club, fast little dog. It's a 'future' dog for me though, as terriers tend to be insane as pups. Your guy is adorable.

pfft.. We had people over so my dog was in his crate for a bit (He jumps up and is known to nip peoples ears), and I look over midconversation and he's decided that he doesn't want to lay in his crate like a normal puppy and wants to scrunch his face on the side of the crate. He always does this anytime he's in the crate and just passes out, He'll snore and what I think is running in his sleep. I'm starting to think he's forgetting his crate has alot of room. hahahaha dogs are priceless <3

Also just learned that my dog has a "fetish" for towels? He'll rub his head and his whole body against a towel, If we put a towel on his back like a cape he'll lay down and lick the towel. Is this a normal thing? I know Jenna Marbles' dog, Kermit, does the same thing for soap but.. they're towels, They all smell different so it might not be the smell.
