and i remember that on the dog training place, there was one of there working dogs, who had this, but they only did know this, as the dog jumped on his dog house all the time and did need emergency vet when one f the handler found him down on the ground crying, they found out that it was a twisted stomach and bloat...but i did not remember the name now i know it...they did the surgery where they did what wiki did say they "firmly attaches the stomach wall to the body wall, to prevent it from twisting inside the abdominal cavity in the future "...with slow feeding big chunks food and 4times a day he was good to work in an different place again as they did not want him to jump on thing when searching things.

can your vet cut the price a bit, or let you pay in small parts so you could pay it slowly over time? or use video of surgery so that vet students can watch how it is done right by a pro, some clinik may do it for free then....really dont know

all will wôrk out, one dog is bether and the other will get there too! ^^

Unfortunately my vet won’t do that you have to pay everything up front and this surgery is $3,000+ here.

Does your vet accept CareCredit? That may be an option to you. I would also search around, sometimes animal shelters/rescues have programs to help owners with vet bills.

im getting nervous. he is still chewing himself. scabs and furless spots run down his front legs. i am actually pretty scared now. this has happened before but not as bad. hoping i can convince my parents to take him to the vet or get some kind of medication. all over his body is scabs, and furless spots. he is less ctive now to. and sometimes he goes to chew himself but goes back, it kind of looks like he's trying not to. im really, really worried. and i don't know if another flea bath will help. i don't want to disturb his scabs nor skin.

I’ll have to ask my local shelters. They unfortunately don’t accept that, by Ill ask around others vets in my area to see if they can help.

This is a bad picture, I took it off my phone but here’s big boy. ):

Tips on how to increase the enthusiasm of a dog’s off leash heel? The kind that dogs do in rally-o, schutzhund, and advanced heel work.

Whenever Blue heels it’s pretty slow and sloppy. If I pick up the pace she’ll lag behind, sometimes stopping the heel completely and just standing still. I can’t figure out how to motivate her to be more precise and quick... with her “spin” and “turn” (which was originally slow), I encouraged speed by using a tug toy and rewarding with it. When I try to get her to heel with a toy, she either just gets bored and walks away or tries jumping for the toy and breaks the heel.

She’s more food-motivated than toy-motivated, but even with a very high value treat, Blue’s heel is the same.

    Advice would be appreciated!

More encouraging? I know I did that with Bruno and he was the same way at first and with more encouragement, he was perfect at off leash heel.

@Radical Raven Unfortunately, Blue isn’t praise-motivated... the way it works with her is that I’m either not being encouraging enough (thus no effect) or I’m being overly-encouraging (exciting her and distracting her from what we’re doing). I haven’t found that happy medium as of yet, but I’ll sure try.

She’s very very food driven and kinda toy driven, but praise does nothing for her as far as training goes, it seems... lol.

I’m thinking that I should re-train the heel. I feel like she’s confusing it with loose leash walking, which would explain her loosey-gooseyness about it (probably my fault because when I walk her off-leash, I heavily reward for her staying by me the way that she would if she’s walking on a leash).

    Any tips on this?

Poor girl in the cone of shame
Not sure if she's gonna need surgery yet, but she started chewing at the mystery tumor so e collar it is.
It's a tad too small, but in this case she can't reach the wound so it works.

does he wear a cone? to just give his scabs time to heal? scabs can itch, fleas can itch, together, or alone, they will cause a lot of itching.

Poor girl! Does she have a very appointment? Hopefully all goes well and it's nothing serious!
