the top outside of my ears yes....today i was overrun by two dogs of family friends, who did seem to love giving kisses and licking the ears and side of face to Show how happy they are...but they do this with each other too like a sort of family comfort thingens as mother and daughter.....but my girl licks the face too when im not fast enough to stop her...but inside the ear.. not...

does your dog always do this..and with both ears or only one...maybe you had a hurt in the ear or it smelled something...really dont know or you where sad or tirred or such....

She does it with both actually and it’s normally when I’m just lying down in the ground.

Honestly that’s not bad. You’ll be fine. If I’m on the ground or anywhere, my dog does it and doesn’t stop 😂 I fell asleep on the ground and woke up to tongue in my mouth. Gross but dogs do that I think I’m an affectionate way or they taste something. For instance, ear wax is salty so

@Luzien thank you!! who needs a place in the bed when you have a dog?! you should post more pictures of your girl, it’s been a while since you have! and nope, she actually doesn’t usually sleep on the pillow. she likes to lie near the end of the bed, but will sometimes come up next to you for a little snuggle haha. on the sofa she does love to be in between whoever is sitting there though when there’s two people, she gets double the pets that way, smart little dog haha!

@psyche, not as much of a sass ball, more of a crazy dog! she does have her sassy moments, but most of the time she is running mad around the house carrying her favorite toys in her mouth! she’s such a sweet dog though, i love her to bits.

- speaking of toys, think it’s time i get a few new ones for her. this is what happened to the last one:

(she didn’t eat any of the stuffing or anything like that. she tore a big hole in the toys back and head, and some stuffing started to come out, so I pulled the rest out and made her pose with it lol. she still plays with the toy without the stuffing though! it was actually a really good toy that lasted her a few months! definitely want to get her another soon.)

Ruby does that, you're totally not alone. I thought I was alone and she was just a freak xD
She likes to catch me unawares. The moment you put your guard down you either get her tongue in your ear or snaked down your throat. No in between. It's utterly disgusting & she doesn't stop.

she really did look like it is her place good that you can still keep the pillow for yourself then and not forced to the end of bed^^
real clever of her with the sofa...put in some puppy eyes and those sitting next to her will give her all the snuggles she wants
the poor plushy toy...she did win this fight i think! why is it always the head and belly or like with her toy the back and head of such toys....or legs or wings when it is bird like she she just pull out the stuffing or did shake it around too?

@Shadow~Wolf I tried out what you suggested, running away from her when she got it. It didn’t work, but it made me realize that the environment I was trying to get her to fetch in (our backyard) was overly distracting for her.

The surroundings were more exciting than the disc and me. I didn’t realize this at first because she’s usually very excited to play in the backyard, but I guess the disc just isn’t her favourite toy? Lol.

Anyway, I’ve spent an hour today working with Blue on her disc in our basement, which apparently is much more boring than being outside! She actually started fetching it, and getting excited about it. I guess I just have to get her accustomed to it in that environment before I move on to something more stimulating. Thank you so much for your advice!

@Luzien she loves to shake the toys like crazy, and when she’s bored she starts to pick at them and make holes. she doesn’t care for the stuffing though, she just spits it out and goes back to the toy

Lilly licks in my ears when I hug her, and she tries to lick my chest on hot days?

I guess it's a salt thing? Should I start lightly salting her food? :lol: :lol:

Right after I last posted, I received an email from Embark! Blue’s sample has arrived at the lab, the results are predicted to be ready in early September. I can’t wait!
