On another note, Nemo's biting is becoming a serious issue. I tried the squealing technique, but he won't even notice and sometimes just bites harder. Just a minute ago he bit me so hard that I actually squealed from pain and he just kept going. I really don't know what to do anymore. He's still a puppy and it might be a phase, but what if it isn't? My hand still aches, but luckily he didn't draw blood, I have a tough skin.
We'll be going to a puppy date in two weeks, which people recommend for bitey puppies to learn that biting hurts, but I don't want to take him there if squeals of pain will only make him bite harder. He could seriously hurt someone's puppy, since he's already fairly large. (He will be going to the large puppy date though.)

also a rope on the collar that you can take and pull the dog of and bring him to his place or out of the room for time out.
when he bites and does not want to let go, put the hand under his head where the mouth end end put pressure to it with a sharp out or let go.
He sounds as if he is a Little on bad way and really needs more training and work to do and learn new things....does he learn fast maybe he is really just borred out of his mind and learned that it is fun to do this to his human:?:
You can try different things....water spray bottle (yes some say it is bad, but it can help with biting puppy who do not want to learn or bite more and more and loose what they did learn at the breeder , or where not long enough with mother and siblings to learn respect and to be careful in play)
or you could throw something on the ground next to the dog..like a small plastic bottle with small stones...or a chain collar
-> all three are the  surprise moment, and a stop asap what you do sign, for the dog.....most stp it after first time...other need different training...
or you could sit it out....or turn away and go out of room when he starts get like this....or turn away and not react at all to him till he is calm...

you need a puppy group , who use calm gentle large grown up dogs as trainer aid... they help to get wild puppy under control with gentle force like there mother would do, and when they hold them to the ground or nip them.....and need to go there atleast 2 times a week.....maybe even walk with an calm older dog or heavy big puppy like Nefi on your walks each day. :)
Please klick them or they will dieยฐยฐ!!!

I try to teach him something new or practice older tricks every day, and we've recently started doing "fetch" (he doesn't fully understand it yet, but we're getting there!) out on the yard to try and get some of that energy out. Since he won't let go when using verbal cues, and I don't want to use a technique that requires scaring or force, I've started using a technique where I just stop the situation and go somewhere where he can't reach me and ignore him for a moment. He usually has calmed by then and I've noticed that today he's been doing a lot more licking than biting, although him biting my feet when outside on the yard is still a big issue on which I might have to try the bitter spray on.

I took this yesterday on our walk ^.^
โœž I believe in Jesus Christ my Savior, and I am not afraid to admit it.
I asked Jesus, "How much do you love me?" Jesus replied, "This much." He stretched his arms on the arms on the cross and died. โœž

^^ Ahh, what a cutie โ™ฅ

____
I forgot to say but turns out Winston was fine after seeming so unwell.
We called the vet in the morning since he wasn't displaying any signs of discomfort anymore and she said as long as he's hydrating and keeping cool he should be okay. He ate all his dinner that afternoon, kept drinking well, and we went on a slow walk to give him some relaxed exercise.
We do have to take them to the vet at some point anyway for a checkup, but at least he turned out okay then c:

Found this old man on the street. Poor thing has a cataract I'm one eye, a spot where he's been bit, and he has bad hearing. We bathed him up and shaved him. He's a fancy guy now.

Definitely trimmed up but still has a while to go yet. Without me being physically there, I have no 100% correct answer. But I'd say before was a 9-ish while now is a 7-8.

the beach i take him swimming is a walk of a half hour there and a half hour back on top of swimming then he wants to play tug of war when he gets home. so heโ€™s slowly getting there. i think once radar is here heโ€™ll be more active and running around out fenced in yard so thatโ€™ll help too (:
