A about a year ago, my mom told me that I could get a guinea pig from a teen who didn't have time to care for him anymore. Being - Removed - (and very excited) I spent about a week researching them for when my new piggy arrived. My mom drove him home a few days before my birthday, and took him inside. He had a tiny cage, no friends, and he was being fed some sort of colorful pellet mix. Later on, I bought him a new cage and friend. After a few months of owning them both, the girl who originally owned the first piggy came to our house to see him. Before asking, she squealed, open the cage top, chased him around the cage (while he knocked into stuff to avoid her) and she eventually managed to get him out. First thing she does? Holds up upside down stretched 2-3 feet away from herself and shakes him around excitedly. Being - Removed - now, I'm panicked and don't now what to do while she tortures my precious baby. She continued shaking him, before sitting down on the couch with him, calling him "her precious baby" and "my special little piggy". While he squealed in pain AND fear, she left him on the couch to go and grab my other poor pig, doing the similar treatment. She then called my dog over (few months old, liked to destroy stuff) comes scrambling over and tries to then bite the guinea pigs, so she gives them back to me so I can put them in their cage.
She wasn't ever allowed back into our house again.
