So 6 am came and Elwin began barking to let him out since he's kennel trained and such. Waited a bit for the sun to come up then we started another search. Again, nothing came up. We ended up visiting other ranches but nobody had seen anything and the bad thoughts started to come up with the lake they had and that maybe she drowned because the wife had talked about her daughter's french bulldog drowning when it disappeared. But nevertheless we kept looking in the same spots because she couldn't have gotten far considering everything is scary and it turned dark, meaning sleep time. Eventually we took one last trip down the street revisiting our night check down it to end up seeing big red spray-painted letters "PUPPY FOUND". We race down the driveway thinking "Why would she come out here across the street?!" and to our surprise their she is in this guy's house with her big blue eyes! All wet from the lake she got into since she is a winter dog and was probably looking for water, coming across this ranch with another lake.
Returning to the breeder's ranch was a blast as we finally got to go home and enjoy our new pup along with a relief that our original pup was safe. The wife even cried when we returned it was crazy!
I don't think I'll ever experience a crazier summer!
