Territorial things do not go away instinct doesn't suddenly just disappear Halogen just cause your dog is neutered. it's a common misconception that people have though that because they neutered their dog the animal isn't going to try to be territorial or even try to get the nearest female pregnant. There is still that instinct that is there neutering just makes it so they don't run off and try to get the nearest female pregnant but even then they still can and will try it just won't do anything. Many male dogs will try and exhibit the behaviors even if they've been neutered. In fact, in general, this even extends to other species as Cats and horses even if gelded/fixed will still try the same behavior and although they might not be able to do anything in regards to getting a female pregnant they still try.

The easiest is to keep Snookie out of Gizzy's pen in the first place.

She is. She pushes the pen around, grabs things to pull them out, and has already knocked over her water once.

@halogen I agree with what Taiger and Linda said.
In addition, I wanted to add that the aggression is a learned behavior and it quickly becomes an instinct.
That means that once they have learned that the way to react in a situation (i.e. when meeting other male dogs) is with aggression or reactivity, that is the way that they will behave almost any time they are met with that scenario.
Neutering won't eliminate any behavior. It can only inhibite hormonal frustration.

That being said, depending on the severity of the problem, it is possible in some situations to train your dog to react differently when met with scenarios where it would normally react aggressively. However, this is very serious training.

I have a dog who is reactive toward large male black dogs. Even if I can get him to behave well while Im there, I would never trust him alone with one because I never know if he will regress.

I'm feeling a bit better, and Olive was getting a bit restless so I thought I would try to teach her to touch objects other than my hand. So I got out a post it and stuck it to the corner of the bed.
She immediately went to investigate it and she was sniffing it and getting pretty close, I was just about to reward her ..... but then she ate the post it... haha
soo that was that, I took it out of her mouth, and we practiced some tricks she alredy knows instead. I'm gonna try and find some actual stickers to use for targeting since she can't resist the urge to eat paper.

So we have found a dog from the Rspca and waiting on a call back. I really hope we get him. His name is dexter and he is 4 years and 3 months (roughly). Unfortunately I can’t upload an image of him because it’s too big. But if everyone could have there fingers crossed for us we will be thankful. :)

Edit: a big thankyou to Ru for telling me how to resize. Here is Dexter Image

Imzadi83 -
Justin has an autumn camo harness, it's my favorite because it fits so well. The one we use in the house is almost as good but a little tight under his front legs.

I found my dad's old quad trail and took Justin and Chess with me. They both loved it and Justin did so well with keeping his attention on me. The contest is in exactly one week and we're way ahead of schedule.
I have quit. Goodbye.

They think he’s a Jack Russell terrier but I’ll double check when I head in there sometime next week @rebelliousWinter

Edit: got a phone call saying he’s been adopted. Oh well 😔 try again I suppose?

Update: apparently Snookie has been trying to preform a jailbreak. She pushes the cage up and lets Gizzy out.
