I don't really give much though to poodle tails, but I do have a preference to the docked tails. I like just the little pom on the end. Where docking is banned, some poodle breeders get tendons clipped in dogs' tail to stop it from curling over, as that is against the breed standard. And at least 80% of poodles have the wrong tail carriage, the dock is a great way to hide it, but where docking is banned another solution has to be made. A poodle with a natural tail is okay though, the difference is not as drastic as say, a doberman without the dock and crop. To me, an all natural doberman doesn't even look like a doberman to me lol.
