Cooper is doing so well! Such a smarty-pants but not always good, this little bugger figured out how to get out of his crate.

Also, if anyone can give me some tips about separation anxiety, I would be so grateful. I really have no experience with this, I've never had a dog start barking, whining, tearing stuff up as soon I close the door. If this can't be fixed we may not be able to keep him. I can't even go to the bathroom without him freaking out.
Especially frustrating when I leave and all the dogs are well behaved and Cooper tears up the kitchen, living room and the den and I was only gone for 30 minutes.

May i ask how he sounds when he is alone...is there a stop between each bark or whining :?:
is it a deep sound or very high sound ...did you ever set up a cam to watch what he does alone in a room??

did you try going out of the room and comming back asap and going out and coming back again (first with open door later closed when he stays at his place without barking or whining)....till he stays calmly in the room each time longer...?

a lot of dogs can have real fear and panic and make themself sick or destroy things, when left alone without the right training or caged and dont know why.

Atm we are using a chain, It controls him better but I hatee using it, But Its not my choice He's my parents dog and they insest on using it.

It Was A front clip Harness, But the thing with him is he doesn't care. He doesn't care about food, Or toys, And doesn't listen to corrections.

how old is the dog? how long do youre parents and you train each day?
where do you work the dog? on fenced are or outside...
what treats do you use :?:
what corrections??

to this front clip harness.... to say it like a trainer i once did know...they are stupid, useless and harmefiúl.

it can be some things...
-when he is was a puppy and is now in the testing stage...
-young adult who also did learn that he is stronger and gets to do what he wants as you or your family do not stop him
-an dog who is bored out of his mind!!
- a not altered male who now knows he is a big guy and is sniffing after females...
- something did change around the dog...even when it is something with the family
- he hurts and trys to get away from the pain!!

use a chain collar that is big-wide enough and can be put on non chock....when you really need it and know how they work and what they can do to a dog!!!. a chock chain or wrong chain collar in the wrong hand or hand of not long time dog training owner can maybe make things more bad:!: ...but most time a sturdy leather or whatever collar is enough, work with fences so you have something at one side stoping the dog...

so when the dog is healthy, is not a young dog who trys to find his place, is not after females....and so on, but more or less was always a bit heavy o the hand....
it could be best to find a good trainer to help with training!!

but maybe you could start at the beginning, your parents or you maybe did something wrong at one point of his training and he does not respect you for this thing...
(i always like to see video clip as they show what one does wrong, so maybe ask a friend or family to help you with this and after the walk look at it to see where the real problem is( best would be when each family member does a walk like this)...this works for nearly all animal training^^)

....this could be a way you can try: even when it sounds and looks stupid...do one step stop -one step stop- one step stop training.....(with some dogs this does work...but not all...other follow target or clicker or loved treat every step they do well.... ;) ) (you also coud try at the beginning to put a leg in front of the dog with each step so he Needs to walk sloweer and watch how fast he walks)
walk near a wall-fence whatever...go one step while say heel-or come, and stop- one step and then stop, and so on, with each step that he pulls, you will turn around and do again one step and stop and so on, but always turning around sharply when he pulls...
you will see when you can do two stepps or three and so on bevor stop , till you can walk without him pulling at all while you o up a whole street
(or let the dog run or fetch things bevor a walk or training to lose some energy)

when the dog is healthy, and only started it one day at one of your walks....he maybe is bored ...then maybe make walks more iteresting and fun....some Little runns here and there some turns in new areas, climbing, sniffing a trail you or someone else did set up bevor, some fun games for you and your dog....and so on.....(or would you read one and the same book 8years long?) Dogs like to do new things, learn new tricks, see other places now and then, and when you go to eat ice with him..

-hope that did help a little ^^

We Use chicken, My parent's don't do much with him. While I am home and not busy I try and sit down and train him, Or try to. My parents tell me to walk him and our walks look like this-- I don't have time to walk him, Then walk my dog so we do out walks together. My dog is right by my side, And Zeus is 15 feet ahead. Its really annoying. We also didn't get him as a puppy, He was 2 when we got him. I'm trying as hard As I can But We weight the same and Its really hard to get him to listen to me. But I'll try everything recomended. Corrections unclude a Shhht Sound, A gentle tug, And I take my foot and tap his belly.

Quick question--are you using a flexi lead? If so, I would recommend getting a 4ft or 6ft leash. Flexis are the best, especially if you're struggling with control.

If he's not interested in listening to you, contact a trainer. There is not much a bunch of strangers on the internet can do. We don't know much about your life and its against CS rules to give away to much which makes it harder for pet advise. A professional dog trainer will be able to know your dog, your lifestyle and how to handle it. They can provide hands on help and advise you based on your limits and what you can do.

my reptiles (aka my personal pets)
1.1 Uromastyx geyri, 3.1 Uromastyx ornata, 1.0 Uromastyx acanthinurus nigriventris, 2.0 piebald ball pythons, 1.0 puma ball python

i study lizards & bugs and like animals

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I am using this leash ttps://www.chewy.com/zippypaws-climbers ... lsrc=aw.ds And Another 15 foot leash when I don't have the time to drag him along.

We did have a dog trainer come out at one time but we had to stop the lessons because we didn't have the money.

So since I'm absolutely bored today and unable to get a picture of my friends Black and Tan Purebred guide dog Dorothy who keeps being mistaken for a rottweiler. due to her odd coloring, I've decided to see if people can actually properly identify the dog in this picture.

Normally i'd take a picture of Dorothy with my friend's permission but neither my friend nor her guide dog was here today at the college. O_O so I'm going to have to ask her at a later date. Anyway, I just wanted to see if people could actually guess what breed these dogs were just by color and looks. Since I kind of feel the need to make people understand how my friend feels when people misidentify her guide dog Dorothy whose a sweetheart. Everyone thinks she's an aggressive Rottweiler it's rather comical cause they think the guide dog harness is for holding her back if she tries to bite people. Also because I just love watching people try and guess.

Whats funny is that's what everyone says about my friend dog lol, it makes me laugh cause they are like uhh uhh is she vicious and meanwhile I'm sitting in chair with Dorothy licking my hand because when my friend is sitting at a table relaxing and she's letting Dorothy roam around the obvious answer is yes she's vicious she's licking my hand to quote death, I cracked my friend by saying that. It's like oh yes, of course, she's a vicious dog look she's licking my hand to death. Of course, I was being sarcastic as the question was hilariously posed in a very dumb manner and the second question before I answered asked was is that harness to keep her from biting people. It was like they'd never seen a guide dog harness in their life.

Never in my life have I ever heard anyone ask if a harness was designed to pull a dog back from biting O-o to my knowledge and feel free to let me know that something out there exists like that that prevents dogs from biting. Although I'm sure there isn't if there is i"m going to be like why is that a thing.

Okay so let me clarify a bit by saying they asked if the body harness was to prevent biting and pull the dog away from trying lunge or bite. Like Dorothy doesn't even wear a head harness just her body harness.

Structure of a lab, but the color of a rottie still confuses me. And it has a tail, no rottie there haha. Never seen a tri colored lab before.

it's a recessive gene, o_O very uncommon and what happens is a copy of a gene causes the normal lab colors and a lack of that copy causes tricoloredness. and any lab that isn't Yellow in a litter that has this pop up either is black or has the tricolored black and tan rottweiler colors. It is considered valid for registration, in the akc not for show though. So while they are recognized as purebred they are not desirable in terms of breeding for show. Though people do love the color XD. SO while they are still labs they are just very unusually colored. I still get a kick out of people asking if Dorothy my friends service dog is a rottweiler and if her harness is used to pull her back from biting. I like to call tricolored labs happy accidents cause according to my friend one of Dorothy's parents was tricolored lab the other was just a black lab. Guide dog groups do not test for the gene that causes the tricolored coat, so a lot of their genetic testing is based on extensive genetic matches that don't involve selecting for color they select for health temperament and personality of the two dogs to get good tempered puppies, I knew someone who worked for a guide dog group and their least concerned with looks as they are with making sure all the dogs are healthy happy good natured and have the personality to be trained.

Actually guiding eyes for the blind has an interesting small article on it because so many people call their tricolored labs rotties dobermans lol dachshund. The hilarious one was dachshund I could see that if the dog was a little weird puppy.

https://www.guidingeyes.org/21268/black ... etrievers/

So in other words tricolored labs truly are happy accidents because they are a random genetic anomaly that pops up a rather pretty genetic anomaly at that.

Edit: Sorry for all the edits O_o I got the gene thing backwards cause you need two copies to create your normal colors and a lack of one to create the tricolored black and tan.
