Sentry is now a legal citizen, I am very proud of him. He got his rabies and tags today and didnt even try to bite the vet! Hurray!

Im not entirely sure, we just call him a feist which are small-medium terriers (mixes depending on who you ask, but generally purpose bred for hunting. Like bandogs and lurchers)

Hey guys, I need a little bit of help. JJ would be Unrecognized Breed, right? Since her mother was purebred, but father was mixed breed. Also, what does "variety if applicable" mean?

I'm looking at the UKC Application for Performance Listing.

Yep! Id do unreconized breed since she is mixed.

Yeah I'd say go with Unrecognized.(: I'm thinking that variety would refer to things like Rough vs Smooth Collies, or the different Belgian Shepherd breeds. ^^

hullo everyone ! i'm super excited for my brand new addition.
tomorrow, i'm heading up the road to pick up my 7 week old puppy, a Scottish terrier named Atticus ( xX ). he has a nice set up in my sun room, which will be blocked off from the rest of the house temporarily. i've also set up a crate, doggy bowls, and a few toys laid to the side for his entertainment. i pretty much dog-proofed the room and am ready to lay out some dog pads.
now of course i didn't just come here to ramble on about everything. i need some help with names. he's just a puppy, so renaming him will be easy. i like the name he has, but am considering other names with easier "call names", as you could say. i've got Fergus, Angus, Mangus, Oliver, and Archibald ( Archie ). Fergus, Angus, and Mangus are all names i could use the call name "Gus", which i particularity love. i'm just stuck with so many ideas and need help to narrow down my list. anyone have suggestions?
also if anyone owns/owned a Scottish terrier, feel free to give me some much needed advice! i've owned other dogs in the past, but never a Scottish terrier. i've done my fair share of research and hope i have a good amount of information, but i'd love personal advice. thank you c:

I can't really say much about the owning a Scottish terrier before, my grandma did when she was younger and all she really said was it was a 'little monkey' but I'm guessing that doesn't help whatsoever.

As for the name, my cousins have a kangal called atticus, and it was easy to call him back with just a name, they also taught him to respond to 'atti' incase they needed him back quickly ^^

As sniper said, "Atti" is a lovely call name for Atticus, so I'd definitely recommend having a look into that call name ^^
Also, since you stated that you really like the call name 'Gus', I can tell you right now that he looks COMPLETELY like a Fergus to me c:
