Fleas aren't that bad, though. Thankfully, everyone in my little pack has a great flea collar (darn things are $80 each for 8 months). They work amazingly! But with no winter, everyone is stilling coming back with little seed ticks. The deer ticks aren't that bad, only see a few of em. But when they get in for the night, everyone gets a good once over to grab any ticks off em. Most of the time, by the time they get to me, the ticks are dead, but still. I just don't know what to do. Talked to their vet and she said there was pretty much nothing we can do besides prevention, and she agrees that we are doing a good job there. Just tired of seeing my little ones covered in ticks. They love to get under Jake's muzzle and in his pits. Ready for summer to be over so that ticks can die down a bit!
Okay... end rant. XD sorry about that, just so tired of ticks.
I use this... http://shop.mercola.com/product/269/1/flea-and-tick-defense-8-oz-per-bottle-1-bottle to prevent ticks getting on Chloe in the first place. The only times I've caught a tick on her was when I didn't put it on. Of course we don't go into tick infested area a lot to begin with so I can't really tell if the product is good or we're just lucky.
I often wish we owned a farm so I could buy a guenia hen to eat up ticks. Short of that though I don't have any good suggestions. I hated having to pull two ticks off Chloe, I can't imagine having to do a lot of them.
