Kes went to a pet expo today! She really wanted to jump on every booth but managed to contain herself lol. (We may need to work on her understanding not everything is Parkour lol)

She did good with the group we went with though! I kept her doing tricks the first bit to help her chill out and it worked great! I got nervous and caused her to fail at the crappy little agility course though haha. She failed at lure coursing too, the bag just doesn't interest her at all.

We are going back tomorrow with K and Miya and maybe a few others that K knows, so that will be fun. I'm sure Kes will talk me into more things since I'll have time to look around more lol. (Group today kinda kept walking so didn't have much time to look) She's got a free second try at lure too, I may just give it to Miya though to not waste it!

^ OMG they all look adorable! I'm glad Kes had fun. :D

Next week is the start of the Good Manners course I'm taking with Chloe. I'm excited to work with the trainer, I'm hoping she can help me with me with my clicker timing and see what I'm doing wrong so that Chloe and I can progress in her training. I expect Chloe to do reasonably well with the course work but a little fine tuning never hurt anyone. She does well listening to me when there are distractions around, but other dogs so close may give her some pause. I'm interested to see what will happen. I think the greatest benefit she'll get out of it is some socialization and positive interactions with other dogs. The place it's at is the same place where she gets her picture taken with Santa every year so hopefully that'll help make her comfortable.

my dog Daphne, has been recently quite wimpy.
she's a rottweiler, and a runt, and I'm nervous about her hips.
she's been showing weakness to them , and my parents are refusing to take her to the vet. she's 7, but she's always so energetic. I try to calm her down, so she doesn't slide on our wood floors. she's my little angel though ;^;

here's a picture of her when she was younger, but its one of my favorite pictures!

So since I've had Harley and did a lot of research before I got him, after I got him, as well as talk to my aunt who is a professional trainer, I've gained a lot of knowledge about dogs and what is good and not good. My friend keeps asking me for advice on her dog, but as soon as I give it to her, she does the exact opposite. Her dog is completely out of control at this point and I just feel so horrible. I don't need advice, I just needed to let some feelings out for a minute.

In good news, Harley is getting a buddy at college! I'm so excited! His name is Cosmo, and his owner and I have already planned for at least one doggy date a week! Harley is going to love actually having another dog to play with, and I am so glad we actually have found someone to have these doggy dates with!

@Hazza;
I wish I could do that with Harley. Too much energy to keep close by!

No, I'm not much of a bike rider. I think if I was though I'd have to get one of those bike attachment things. I wouldn't want to risk an accident to my dog or me by holding the leash.

My dog isn't very big on any fruit or vegetable. I've offered her apples, watermelon, carrots, and even lemon. She has yet to actually want to try any of it. :roll:

What do you guys think of your dogs drinking out of dirty ponds, lakes, and/or puddles? I personally don't like it because we have ducks around our ponds, and so a whole bunch of duck crap is in it :I

I don't like it either, because like you I worry about what's in it, same with communal water dishes. They're quick though so it's hard to stop them. And of course I'd rather they take a drink, even a dirty one if they were desperately in need of it. A healthy adult dog can likely do fine with a dirty drink once and awhile, I'd be more worried if a dog was very young, old, or immune compromised. I guess in general I'd try to discourage it if I could and make sure to have some clean water with me.

When you're petsitting 2 horses, 10 puppies, and roughly 10 adult dogs.

The horses are no problem.
The puppies one of them is losing weight, and throwing up what she's eating. She's either eating too fast, or she's got some bug.
These puppies are 5-6 weeks old. I can't afford to take a puppy that isn't mine to the vet. She's throwing up her dry food, she's throwing up her wet food (I was told to try to give her a bit of that to see if that would help), I was told to bring a can of evaporated milk to the barn tomorrow to see if she can keep that down.

The other 9 puppies are doing just fine. 10/10 little balls of energy love and teeth. But that one is just dropping weight and I'm worried about her.

The 10 adult dogs. Oh man. My neighbor breeds Yorkie's. She's Got 5-ish. Three females, two males. Give or take a female or 2.
In the same pen she's got two spayed Chihuahuas. They all have food in two large feeders in both little rooms and a small air conditioned hut. I was told to not worry about them, but I check their food anyway.
