Alright so my dog loves to go outside like any other dog would. But there is a catch. My dog is all black with a few white spots here and there. You would think she would hate being in the sun and catching the sun on her fur because it would be her hot but, No! For some strange reason my all black dog loves to sunbath and and lay on the my deck to catch the rays of sunlight. Anyone else's black dog do this? I feel like all black dogs do it but I find it weird because if I was an all black dog I would hate to be in the sun, getting extra hot with my coat of fur and such. Thanks for reading my cute and funny dog story, opinions on the story would be nice ^*^

My dog is almost completely black, and she LOVES to sunbathe! I kind of just let her, after 30 minutes if she's still soaking in the sun with the hot summer, then I'll call her back in, but other than that I don't mind her soaking it up. I do it with her sometimes, and it actually feels really good cx

i have a doberman who is mainly black with a tan underfur and he absolutely loves sunbathing! i'm not sure why, as darker colors absorb more heat, but it makes him content and relaxed, so it's fine by me.

Tipsy, I'm sorry, that sucks. Totally wasn't your fault though, accidents happen to everyone. You tried to save the little baby, and that's more than a lot of people would do.

So I caught this dog.
He was eating all my neighbors dogs food.
And the neighbors in front of us feed the dog, but they don't claim him as theirs.
Meaning, no vet visits, no flea meds, nothing.

He's on the way to the local no kill pound a hour+ away.
I doubt he has an owner, he's been wandering the area for a few months now, though he's been fed enough to keep him at a healthy weight.

But, he's showing every sign of hip dysplasia.



I was the only one who could get a collar on him, though I had to scruff him, this was the only time he bared teeth at me. I was able to get a leash on him and walk him around. Then get him to go into a crate. He was very sweet the whole time I tried to do these things with him.

We were looking and playing guess the breeds.
German Shepherd is in there, he's got the body for it.
Either Husky or Australian Shepherd might be because of his eye colors, don't yell at me, we were just going by looks here.

Any input on this?

honestly i see GSD/Husky and he looks like he may have a splash of a bully breed.

Kato ran out of food today, so I mashed up some oven heated apples and threw in some bits of unseasoned sausage. Not Very healthy but he finished it very quickly. Had to run out so this was the quickest meal I could come up with. Does anyone know of quick and easy to make meals for dogs? For future reference.

I honestly just fast if its for a day or throw down a couple raw eggs or a raw chicken quarter. Easy.

Scrambled egg? As long as the mean is nutritionally balanced overall not every meal in itself has to be balanced.

In other news, Lacey has been asked to the ambassador for one of the biggest dog shows in our area! I'm so happy that this is all possible because of her Instagram 'fame'. It'll be so much fun!
