Anyone have any tips on how to stop a dog from jumping onto doors and such when you go to unlock the front door?

My dog Loli (German shepherd) keeps jumping onto the wall and the door whenever I come back from somewhere and go to unlock the door. It's getting to the point where she's scraping off the paint from the wall and damaging it quite a bit. I really don't want to keep buying paint and new wall filling just because she keeps damaging it with her paws.

Does she do that just for you? Or for anyone at the door? Try redirection maybe, get her too bring something to the door so she has something to do instead of focusing on you maybe

It's possible, but has anything else changed? Even with your stuff?

Since it was the holidays recently there's a bunch of odd stuff in the house now, maybe she got a gingerbread house or something. It wouldn't be the first time -_-

Tis the season! Just keep an eye on her, watching if it gets worse, and check to see if she's nibbled on anything.
Where are the hives? Like all over or?

They're just under her arms and on her lower belly, she definitely isn't acting like anything is wrong except for the scratching. I'll keep an eye on her :3

She does it to my mother and myself as she'll bark quite aggressive if its someone she doesn't know. She just keeps whining whenever I ask her "down" from the other side of the door as both my mother and I normally are out together so we really can't get into the house without unlocking the door.

Did she get a new bed or anything? Or was anything spilled on the floor?

Try practicing to get her to grab a toy and bring it to the door, which will stop the barking as well, have your mom go out and come in while you try and retrain her behaviour onto something else? Just google some redirection techniques and maybe you can find one that works for her?

Im pretty sure it's possible, one of my dogs, an English springer spaniel called Morgan has been on the same dry food for about six years, and she can't have it anymore because it started to make her ill, she now has 'special' diet food that she's fine with,

Or as people have stated she might have gotten hold of something she shouldn't have, I know my cats and dogs have broken into cookie jars and whatnot but I don't think they've ever had the symptoms JJ has had. <3
