mom is 13 month, 9 when oppie was born. her name is Lilly.

his parents weren't mine and i asked last night and the mom was tested when she was born as well his dad. i was told about this last night.

...That's not how testing works. A dog can not be fully tested before two years old. They don't do hips and elbows before then. Clearly the breeder of your pup was a BYB if they allowed a 9 month old puppy to get pregnant and whelp the litter.

Yup ^^ gonna guess that your parents chose the breeder though and that you had no choice on the matter, but when you're able to buy your own dog someday, make sure you're supporting a responsible breeder/rescue c:

My foster dog search for a service prospect is starting soon! Might take a year or more, but I'm excited to give rescue dogs a shot even if it won't work out <3

excuse you? my dad could care less, my mom is DEAD. i chose oppie and he's my best friend. it was MY choice. he's the best dog aside from my GSD mix that i have EVER owned. I LIVE ON MY OWN WITH MY WIFE AND CHILD.

i'm a adult. not some kid/teen that doesn't know what they're doing. oppie is my ESA. regardless of anything anyone says and he's learned so much on my symptoms and helps.

yeah, i'd assume she was a BYB. she keeps breeding her chihuahuas and personally has 9+ chihuahuas, 2 JRT and a lab/pit mix.

Hope everyone and their dogs are well, we just moved house again and I haven't had a chance to catch up.

it's normal for a dog to still bark at house mates when they come though the door right? I keep thinking if Vicky feeds Lucy-dog then she will stop barking at her when she sees her come though the door

What does her body language show when she is barking at Vicky? Is her tail wagging or down? Are her ears back? Does she approach Vicky? Run away? Or does she stay wherever she is?

not always i eye her when she dashes to the door and screames. and then turns and runs. maybe this is still an "intruder alert" kind of bark with a kind of rearing when she yells. like when a horse rears. I don't remember what the tail and ears do. if I recall the tail is held stiff.

Why are you eyeing her? and what do you mean by that? Staring is very threating to a dog. This could be increasing the problem as you're making Vicky's entrance into a big bad scary event. You need to treat it like it's no big deal. As long as she's not going after Vicky, or barking extensively, or acting otherwise aggressive I wouldn't worry about it. Especially if she's able to calm down and ignore Vicky later.

the BYB sounds exactly like the lady but oppie was $170 with papers and were not signing him up because we just want him as a family/ESA. we're signing him up as a ESA shortly in the next few months.

none of her dogs were aggressive. and oppie has absolutely no aggression or fear based issues.hes a pretty smart pup. guess it's how i'm raising him haha.

our vet has checked him multiple times- no issues. they said he looks perfect and absolutely no issues. coming from two different vets.

i'm friends with the breeder on facebook - she constantly asks how oppie is doing and wants to see new pictures of him as he grows.

Does anyone have an video or an article to introduction a dog to a balance disc and/or wobbleboard?

I got one for Christmas, but it's proving harder to get Swizzy to notice it than I thought.
She isn't scared of it, she'll jump all over it. It's just I'm trying to teach her to put two paws on it but she isn't getting the concept.

I've never used anything like that, but I was thinking that you could teach the dog to put it's paws on something like, like a piece of paper or tape on the floor like how they train animals to find their 'mark' in movies. Then just move the paper/tape around to other flat surfaces, then raised surfaces, and finally onto the board/disk.

My dog managed to become a father like a weekish before her turned one. -_-
I went to pee and bf was putting our daughter down for a nap and that's all it took. The pups are all doing well though. They'll be 3 weeks on Sunday and they're toddling around <3 we obvs can't keep them all (6 pups) but we may keep one and the rest will be sold. Bf's sister owns momma dog and her friend already bought the runt bec he's owned 3 of them in the past. (Not leaving momma til 8 weeks for sure though he'll just pick her up when it's time)
