funny things....
it was the first time i wrapped our dogs gifts^^
our dogs where crazy happy to get there gifts, and "unwrapped" ...ok...more or less destroyd the paper at some parts ^^ but only on one side... all on there own after showing them that they can do it, first they where unsure as they kno not to do it, after some playing around they got it^^...toys and treats where loved, and the bones eaten happily :D and my girl got a new leather collar that looked really great on her with the silver on black leather^^

Question:
Did someone else gift there dog/dogs something?

@ Middy
i love this pics, very nice :D

There is nothing wrong with this alpha theory ...some say true other no....let us each other think what we like, alright ;)

.... and hate...this is an terrible mean strong word.....(please dont use it so easy as if you give candy...not in todays times) dislike maybe...but not this word...or do you hate all the people who think its true (one of the many alpha -leader or whatever theory's)...?
->> and may i ask why do you "dislike it"...because some people say it is wrong, or because you did read a lot about those things and about both sides, or because you did study wild animals and there behavior, and dogs and wolf behavior in the free and in human control (packs of atleast two dogs or wolve) and found out new things? im really interested why the dislike^^...i love to learn more, and like to know why one likes one of those many theorys and why one dislikes it^^

...that is sad with the video, hope the guy got out of it atleast not to badly hurt......
who knows why the dog did attack him and was not deffending its owner,...maybe he wanted him to stand up to help his owner focus on the attacker... or he did see him on the ground and wanted to pay him back, or wanted to show he his now bether and stronger now , or the dog did see it as a game as owner or his kids often did rough play on the ground...that sometimes happens...

....i really dont know...it would be interesting to know if this was a mix breed or high energy purebreed, large , medium or big dog ...the age of the dog, who was the attacker was it a friendly thing from a stupid friend or a real stranger, what time of day , what was the situation, how was dog and owner relationship...and so much more...as long as this is not known nobody really but the owner of the dog could really say something to this situation....so we should not.
Please klick them or they will die°°!!!

@video of the dog biting his owner,
The dog could've been freaked out by the situation and redirected on his owner, or he just had an underlying problem that was triggered by his owner being attacked. Anything can happen, it's not like dogs can tell us what went wrong.

JJ and Pete got to eat some treats and canned food this morning for Christmas. Even with their new toys, they were more interested in playing tug of war with a fork. JJ's elbows are itchy because of the weather, I want to use what my grandma used to soothe her APBTs skin because it worked really good, but I don't remember what the brand was ;-;

I got a Nikon D3300 for Christmas, so I took Lola to a nearby park for a mini photoshoot.
A family member knit her an infinity scarf, so the photos are to show it off <3
This was just an experiment as the lighting was nearly nonexistent, but I hope it's alright.
Some photography tips would be super appreciated ~

A guy today pulled up by me and JJ and asked "Are you taking her to school?" jokingly because she had her little backpack on. Thing is that he asked in Spanish and my Spanish is a bit rusty, in between that and the panic of not talking at all and then suddenly needing to talk to a stranger in my second language caused me to answer "YES MY DOG IS SCHOOL" and then laugh till he rode away (he was on a dirt bike). Man, that was awkward.

Question here!
Ruby has been having some serious biting problems lately. As a younger puppy, she did especially like to chase and bite feet, but that was fairly quickly resolved. As of lately however it has got worse, for example when I take her out of her exercise pen, or I am holding her, and she wants down, she will bite, snap, growl and scratch. In those cases, I make her stop, and then I put her down. Or, I will be sitting on the couch and she will come jump on me and be sweet and all, and then suddenly start biting and snapping, when I'm not holding her or anything. Another example, occasionally when I seperate her and Oreo because she is being too rough, she will jump up and start growling, snapping, biting, and scratching. Honestly, she's a very sweet puppy, not aggressive at all, but I really need to get her biting under control. My method (which used to work perfectly), is to lightly tap her muzzle when she's getting rough with a firm "No.", and if she still doesn't stop, to put her in her kennel for a little while. She has started to ignore this however, and it's just not working anymore. I would appreciate it if people could tell me if I need to do anything differently, or if I just have to keep being consistent with this.

"Tapping" her muzzle is not something you should do, by doing so you're either teaching her that playing rough is okay, or that she should be afraid of people approaching her head because it means they are going to hit her.

You need to teach her what to do instead of biting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c77--cCHPyU

If she bites while you're holding her, put her down. Make sure when you do pick her up you're doing it properly by placing a hand under her bottom to support her. And teach her that being picked up is a good thing and not something to be afraid of...

Also make sure you have a variety of toys/chews for your puppy to chew on as chewing is a natural behavior they do need to engage in.
