It really depends on the environment you put them in afterwards. I hope I dont offend you but it is very common where a sales persons sales someone a fish or animal they are not prepared for. Especially goldfish, they need lots of filtration and room. If provided with that they can live 20+ years.
Oh snail update!! He is out and kinda moving around, I think it was just shock. And Kyro gets to go back in the main tank. He has to live with his cysts until they decide to pop so I just have to keep watch on him and when they do pop add him to the QT and salt to .1%. Another member on my goldfish fourm also has a fish that has cysts and they come and go. The fish is big and healthy and besides the cysts normal. As far and her and I can tell they do not hurt them much. Its kinda weird for me, I also have a type of cysts inside of me so it just makes me relate to my fish more.
