Well you could get a male betta and put some other fish in with him. I don't know exactly what you can put in with him but one of the other members can tell you. Or you could put dividers in the tank and have a few male bettas in there. I "think" you could do a female betta sorority. Again you would have to ask the other members about that. Snails, shrimp. Thats all on the top of my head.
Neon tetras are usually good with bettas because they won't nip at the fins and are very docile schooling fish. Be careful about multiple females, some can be more territorial as the males, so if you get multiple have a divider just in case. I'm pretty sure you could split the tank in half with a divider and have two males in there, you just have to be sure the divider doesn't have anything a fish could slip through. I personally spoil my betta, she's in a 20 gallon by herself since she refuses to be around other fish. I focused on making the tank look beautiful with different plants and decorations but remember any plants and decorations you put in can't be sharp or rough since it might tear the fins and make scales rub off.

Blue's doing better stress wise. If I turn on my light she and turn in off within five minutes she's fine. I'm still trying to push toward going to a pet store this week to get a light for her tank and get a 30 gallon for some goldies. I keep getting distracted away from goldfish by cremecicle lyretail mollies. Why must mollies look so cute and beautiful? Maybe I just have to find the right goldfish to fall in love with goldfish again. I swear, there's too many beautiful fish out there and there's not enough money and not enough tanks to keep them.
