Aww poor guy,
I hope he gets better, I was afraid I would have to use clove oil on Shiro.
100% agree. Clove oil is the only way I will kill a fish. That or a needle to the brain.
So we might be getting a new house, its a double wide so they will bring it to our house now then take our old house away. So I dont have to move the tank far. But I will have soooo much more room for tanks.
Edit: Forgot to add but we got a kitten, It hasn't seen the fish yet but Im going to have to fix the top now and close it off. >.<

That is the worst possible way to kill a fish. The chemicals in the filter will eat the fish's flesh, a horrible and painful way to die. Also, do not put your fish in the freezer! They are cold-blooded, so they do not fall asleep. They stay awake while they slowly freeze to death. The most humane way to kill a fish is to get clove oil. Shake the clove oil in a container with a good amount of water. Once the water and clove oil is mixed, put your fish in the container. It acts as an anesthetic, causing your fish to fall asleep. Then put a few drops of vodka in the water and it will kill your fish. It's the less stressful/painless way to do it. The second best way [if you don't have clove oil and vodka] is to sever the spinal cord right before the head, quickly killing the fish. But that is pretty stressful to it, but painless. Just thought I would share, because I just found out my friend flushed her fish because it was suffering and couldn't be helped. O-e
