I'm so glad to hear that Cosmo! was he just being lazy or didn't feel well? And I keep checking Blue Streak's eyes, they still look huge but I'm not sure if he has Popeye or not :/ i am going back to Petsmart again to get my dog, mabye I should swing by the fish department, his water is clear so maybe they can tell me if he has it or not

I need help with my fish. I have three tetra (s) and I'm upgrading my tank. What kind of fish go well with Tetras?

Platies,guppies, maybe a dwarf gourami.


Does anyone here fish? I love fishing, and getting them for my pond. Today, I went fishing with my dad and sister, we caught 14 fish. I caught a bass and two speckled trout, my sister caught two speckled trout, then my dad caught 9 speckled trout (he's a good fisher lol) So I have a bass and 2-3 trout for my pond, and my dad is cleaning the rest of them. I almost cried because I didn't want him to clean them, I know it's the way of life, but he dumped them all into the grass, then he was holding one, and threw it to the ground, so after that he said he was not going to fool with it since he didn't want to here me complaining about it, so we put them back into the bucket and where going to take them to the pond, but then my dad then said he didn't think they'd make it, so he told me to just go inside and let him clean them. I HATE killing poor fish like that

I LOVE fishing, I also love eating fish. My grandpa takes a knife and takes the head off so they pass pretty quickly.
The only way I feel good about fishing and hunting(love hunting too) is if the fish/animal is not endangered and all of body gets used. We eat the meat and my dogs chew on the bones and the left overs.

i wouldn't even trust their filters, seems to me they would break down, they didn't have the correct fish food I wanted and the decorations there would probably be toxic to them because of chipping paint.

Actually their filters are nice. I have an Aqua-tech on my 110 gallon tank and if it gets turned off and loses suction it can restart the suction itself versus my aquaclears who cant do that. So if I ever lost power for a minute my tank would be relying on my aqua tech. I dont trust the decor, especially the ones with no wrapping on them. I wish they would just stop selling fish and only sell fish stuff because it is so cheap. But im supposed to be boycotting wal-mart. It is a lot harder than I though, especially when your family is not the richest and that it is the cheapest place to shop.

I feel the same about the life but we only hunt/fish when we are out of food. Luckily my family don't like to just kill an animal for no reason. If you use a big butcher knife with a steady hand it can come off in one swing. Or even a needle to the brain then take its head off.
They are ok. I had a ammonia spike in the tank from duckweed that got stuck in the filters. Still trying to get it down, just cleaned my other filter, I cleaned my other one out last week and im getting a sponge filter in soon so hopefully that will help.

yes! hurray for Cosmo! We got our dog's fur shaved (by the way she looks really funny now xD) anyway I took Blue streak back and asked about his eyes once again. They said he is really healthy and he has been treated for popeye, but I didn't know is that after you treat him that the eyes don't exactly go back in, he is healthy but for the rest of his life he will have popped out eyes
