I think Vincent is building a little bubblenest. Over the past few days I have seen a slowly growing mass of tiny bubbles along the front wall of the tank.

CSF wrote:My platy had her babies last night! I count at least 6. There may be more, I was so happy when I woke up. Then I realized some had escaped from the net breeder. I don't know how but then I tried catching them. I managed to catch 4 and there are at least 2 more in the tank. I hope they don't get sucked into the filter though. I'm not sure how many she had originally because some may have gotten eaten...also my black Molly has has been showing the signs(I'm not sure how long it takes after they get pregnant to look like it) of being pregnant for about a week and a half. When should I separate her? Also any other suggestions for a breeding thing?

Can anyone help me with the last two questions? Thank you if you can ^-^

To be honest, I don't think you should breed them. Believe it or not, livebearers will readily inbreed. This can cause horrendous deformity. Trust me, I'm speaking from personal experince. If I were you, I'd just let the fry be eaten.
my sig has been godawful ever since i got an account and im finally gettin around to prettyin it up so plz deal with it for a lil longer ty ur a peach

My mother has passed away, and I won't be as active for awhile. Sorry to everybody who needs me, just send me a PM.

Congrats! I remember how excited I was! I would, just to be safe. You mean to keep the fry in? I think the net breeder is the best to go with, but I have no idea how yours got out, though, it's really easy for the fry to get stuck in the corners and die. That's what happened with like five of mine D :

Inbreeding takes 5 or 6 continuous generations before it starts to affect the fry.... >.< That's what I have read anyway.
And my friend has had a tank full of guppies for quite a while (they just keep making more and more xD) and none of them are all deformed.

Yeah, some how they got out and I'm not sure how. I let her out 8 hours later, so hopefully she was done.
