Fish lovers!

I have come to the conclusion that whenever I name a fish, it dies. I no longer name my fishies.

I didn't name my fish because I was afraid they'd die. Now it's months later and they're all alive but only 2 of them have names... I should really fix that. hmz

I had a Betta fish, and I named it Charlemagne, but it died right after I named it... D:
I also had a tank of at least 12 zebra danios. I named ONE Potatoface, but it also died within two days of naming it...

So now I have to baby bala sharks, and I haven't named them (for the sake of their well-being, luls). They've been healthy and happy for about a month now ^^

Its weird that you had trouble with fish dying... I've only had trouble with buying already sick fish, ugh, thats what I get for buying petsmart fish. <Cringe.>

Bala sharks...? What size tank are they in? They do not stay small and cute for long. D:

That was the problem with Plumfin! But he wasn't from Petsmart, we have a local pet store called Critters.

I have 3 fish from Petsmart, the first fish (an angelfish that I bought before the mollies) died before the night ended... and I bought him in the afternoon. -Granted he was smaller than my other but the one I got from another store was smaller and is doing fine and is getting huge. - I honestly believe that when you buy any animal you need to know what to look for to make sure it's healthy, especially the smaller animals that people don't care for too much. I researched mollies for a long while before I bought them so that I knew signs of basic sickness in mollies. Several places sell bad fish, you have to educate your self against them.

Its the truth. I'm super picky about my stock and where I get them. xD I always check the tank the fish are housed in and all the other tanks. I also like buying from fish stores that do NOT share filtration. I'm so glad you did a ton of research, when I first went into fish keeping I was blind. It wasn't until my "wtc am I doing wrong?!?!" moment that I started to do a ton of research and fixed my errors real quick. With any pet, I think a person should be as much research as possible. x.x

All of my fish are from mom and pop fish stores, all tanks with seperate filteration, so far i've only lost 5, but that happens even with the best fish stores.
