You've never met a golden retriever?! They're everywhere here, so that's hard to wrap my head around haha

I feel your pain.
We've gotten past the biting part, but I've been away and moving the past threeish weeks so her nails are terrible.
Do you think Juniper might be able to do a scratch board? it wouldn't fix the back nails but it could get something done to the front. Good luck though, and may your face be untouched by white teefs.

Drove for 18 hours yesterday, Epic was amazing!
And a bonus is that neither the van or crate is poisoned, and she never got carsick!
She's now on the boat, getting her from the dock to dingy and dingy to boat was shockingly smooth. She's taken to the boat good, learnt to do her business on a mat already (I've heard of dogs never getting it) and can go from above deck to below by herself.
Super proud of her!
We had no reactivity issues while traveling, and I'm now working on pelicans and seagulls before she has a problem.
I also got her a muzzle, it was the only one I have been able to find. It's like an agitation leather muzzle and Epic's already loving shoving her head in it.

Haha, I thought the same for a moment but now that I think about it I've only seen them a few times (and I work under a veterinarian, so thats saying something.) Maybe its just because I see them in TV ads very often, and on most dog medicines its either a golden retriever or a border collie. One time a woman came in with 5 golden retrievers though, & it was a glorious moment. Apparently one of them was the mother, and after selling 3 other puppies she couldn't bare to part with the rest. xD All neutered and spayed now, so alls well I guess.

Nope never met one or seen one in real life lol. I live in a major city so its weird, I guess I just never been out in the right times to see one. I plan on "meeting the breeds" at the upcoming dog show in my city, but they haven't released the list of the breeds that will be there yet. Its still a few months away but I'm excited, this will be my first dog show I have gone to!

Also I'm reading of this new thing (idk if its new, but its new to me) called ''barn hunt''. I was thinking to enter Molly into it since she loves to chase rabbits and loves sniffing out opossums. Has anyone heard of it/participated/can give me some info? I'm on there website reading over their rules right now.

Unfortunately I've never had the opportunity for my rat terrier to participate in a Barn Hunt, but I have heard a lot about it and you can find practically all the info you'll ever need about it here: x
That link is directly from the Barn Hunt website. Its a document stating the rules & all that good stuff. If its missing any info, you can probably find it on the website. :)

He's very cute! Fortunately, I have no experience with my own dogs with Lyme disease, and its uncommon in my area so I don't see it often (despite working at a vet's office, I think I've only seen it once or twice). My vet usually prescribes Doxycycline (I think it was) to dogs with Lyme disease. Ask your vet about that. I hope he gets better soon!

@Crum I've had 2 dogs who have been diagnosed with Lyme's
I can't really help much, because I forgot what my vet perscribed Loki and Lorilie, but All I can say is ask your vet and talk with him/her about treatment options!!
