Thanks for answering! I'll take the puzzle toys stuff into consideration. As for the play with him until he's tired thing, I do that all the time but for a puppy who could probably last 2 hours playing, it's kind of hard.

Training can tire dogs and puppies out usually faster then physical exercise. It gets their brains working.
10 minutes of training can tire my dog out where she'd need at least 30 minutes of hard exercise.

Hadn't thought of that! Sounds about right, my dogs are quick learners and they're always more satisfied with learning (or practicing) a new trick or two as opposed to hours of play time. I'd try Day Of Silence's idea, Ritra (and I think I will too. My pup Winston is really smart although independent, so it'll probably take more effort on my part lol.)
Edit/Update: Jesus, he learned "sit" in two minutes. Thats the aussie in him, I guess.

Any advice, guys?

I need to round up some people who are comfortable with me using their children as training aid. Harley has become intensely terrified of children after being chased and beaten by a group of them not far from my home.

Counter conditioning is going well, and we can now walk past them without him freaking out and attempting to bolt. Prior to use working on it he would scream out of fear and vomit while he panicked. Now he walks past but still shakes.

How would you go about fixing this? How would you ask people if they were interested in helping you?

A Large warning to all california dog and cat owners. Bees can be extremely aggressive, even when unprovoked. If you hear your dog yelping or loud thuds against your house, more than likely they are being attacked. Please be attentive to your dogs when they are outside in the yard and take measures of using bee killer spray or calling a exterminator to have your yard and house checked. Enough bee stings can kill a dog of any size. One dog has died and three others are severely injured after a bee attack in Arizona. Three Rotties in Airzona have been killed, leaving one just barely clinging to life, after a killer bee swarm attack in Avondale, AZ. Two dogs dead and owner injured in flordia after bee attack, a puppy dead in Glendale, AZ. Be cautious and check your yard

Please do not use bee killer on the honeybees! There are ways to protect your pets from them without killing them, like calling your local beekeeper. Most beekeepers would be more than happy to come get the bees for you.

Bees are extremely important to our ecosystems all over the world. Of 100 crop species that provide 90% of our global food supply, 71 are bee-pollinated! If the bees go extinct, experts believe that humans wont survive either. So please, pursue other options rather than killing the bees!

Deebee's Wisdom Panel test results came in! I was expecting some terrier due to his hunting behavior, but after looking more into poodles I can see that they can have certain levels of prey drive too. Chihuahua was really not something I expected!

This seems pretty accurate, I think. It's definitely possible for him to have those other breeds and I was definitely expecting poodle.

Looks like I can't call him a terrier/poodle mix anymore. x)

They aren't honey bees, they are killer bees and africanized honey bees, both are extremely aggressive even when unprevoked. i have been stung before. i don't want them near my house because my husband and two of my pups are highly allergic to them

^Aw it's adorable!

Took Chloe to the vet today. We had time to stop at a pet store on the way there and when we pulled into the parking lot Chloe threw up. :( All over her car-seat, Mom's car, and even managed to get on the handle of her leash. I carry a spare leash in her bag in case the one I'm using breaks, never considered I'd use it because the other one had vomit on it. Mom and I both felt so bad for Chloe. I took her inside while Mom cleaned up, pretty successfully, with Wet Wipes.

Inside I asked if they had anything with ginger and they had a herbal liquid that is ginger and mint so I got that and gave her some. I'll have to remember to use it traveling with her in the future. I picked up another bottle of probiotic, a new toothbrush, and some duck feet while we were there. To top of the visit Chloe peed on the floor. The guy was really nice about it, helping me look for things, and holding the receipt so I could sign it since I'd picked Chloe up for fear of what else she'd do. He even came out to the parking lot to give me a sample of chicken treats he'd forgotten to give me in the store. I haven't giving one to her yet but they look yummy.

We'd gone to the vet because she'd had intermittent problems with her neck. The vet didn't find anything that seemed significantly wrong likely the neck just got tweaked though not as bad as before. She did another laser acupuncture on her and gave me some more herbs. She also suggested a new dental gel for her teeth. She checked her heart and the murmur didn't sound any worse (yay!) She was also due for titers next month so they went ahead and did them today. They did the blood draw from her leg. The vet tech tried to hold it longer so it wouldn't bruise but Chloe wouldn't put up with being held anymore so she ended up with a bruise. I feel bad for her but she isn't bothered by it. She was a good girl through the whole thing. It was funny, I un-harnessed and undressed her while we were waiting for the vet to come in, I unbuttoned my coat and wrapped it around her and she stuck her head inside trying to hide LOL.

She was glad when we left and enjoyed sniffing her way around the pet store next door. We went to lunch, it was too windy to eat out so we ate in the car. I mixed her dehydrated food with water and she enjoyed that and a few little pieces of French fry which she likes now. It was hot in the car but chilly outside and I didn't want to have to undress and redress her again so I used the umbrella leaning against her car seat to block out the sun which worked great. I also put down her cooling mat on the car seat too. She slept most of the way home and has mostly slept since we got home. It was a long day.
