Because eye contact and a hard stare is threatening in dog language...

Thanks Imzaid! He's a hard one to get decent pictures of for sure lol

Couple of Kes from today, we worked on some agility exercises and she did great! The one that she had trouble with in class, she picked up easy today! Gonna go to class early next week and practice on their set, but I think she will do much better! (Her problem was she focused on me and would trip over the bars lol)

I also learned that Kes is great during a emergency today. We were outside the pasture training and my goat got his foot caught. He started screaming bloody murder, so I took off through the house to go save him. Kes did perfect and stayed right with me into the house, then I told her to back up so she didn't come out the back door with me.

I was really surprised that she didn't freak out when he started screaming and stayed right with me. The other animals all got spooked, and I doubt any of the other dogs would have stayed with me like she did. So I'm pretty proud of my pup tonight!

(Excuse the black on the pictures, I had to block out my name lol)

True. Floco gets agitated if you look at him, but his father Guigas isn't fazed at all. Guigas hasn't ever bit, scratched [and etc.] anyone, and when another dog attacked him, he didn't even try and defend himself. He's so gentle and sweet, so I wonder how his son isn't more like him: he's more like his mother to be honest.

Gorgeous photos Middy!
------------------------

I'm back with Epic after a little over a week away. And I just remembered it's Epic's Gotcha Day! I only have half a pig ear for her, and she's been training/working all morning while I pack up.
Soon this dog:

((Finally decided to fill out the form now that I've got some decent pics of my pooch))

Do you own a dog?: Yep, I do!
Favorite dog breed?: Corgi, Maltese, Yorkie, Dachshund, basically most of the breeds on the smaller side of the spectrum.
Tell us about your dog, if you have any!: I just got my dog on the 6th of this month, so I'm pretty new to owning a dog (especially a puppy). We decided on naming him 'Giant' for the irony of how small and cute he is, like someone naming a big dog 'Tiny'. He's a Maltese puppy, weighs 2 pounds, and is only about 2 months old.

So far the dog loves running around, yipping, and biting my ankles. Judging on that, I can tell he's going to be a pretty hyper dog. xP

^^ Awww, giant is so cute!!

Do you own a dog?: 4 of them, haha (though I suppose only two of them are solely mine). And I foster very often.
Favorite dog breed?: Hard to say. Great Pyrenees & Greyhounds for how chill they are. But I also love Huskies & Australian Shepherds because they are absolutely beautiful, though a little difficult to keep up with.
Tell us about your dog(s), if you have any!: The "alpha" of the house is a 9 year old female pit mix (Missy). Then there are two little sibling Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mixes, one female and one male (Summer & Cosmo). Both bark a whole lot, and the female is more shy than the male. All of those are shelter rescues. The newest pup is the one I'm here to spam you about! :D

Winston is the newest addition as of this morning; we got him from a friend of mine who had found him (surprisingly! He's really pretty. She tried to find the owner to no avail (no microchip or collar either), and though people have asked for him, no one has claimed him as theirs. We're still on the look-out but its been two weeks and since nothing has turned up, as of now he's mine). We're guessing he's around 11 weeks now, because he looked about 9 when found. He definitely looks like a Great Pyrenees / Australian Shepherd mix, and I might go as far to say that the parents might have been a pure one of each breed (who knows). He has the colors of some Aussie's I've seen, but he has the size & definitely the calm, chill temperament of a Pyrenees (that might also be why he has so much white coloration).

Had to cut down the gigantic pictures and it slightly blurred them; you can click on them to see the larger version. (:

Ahhh I'm in love with Winston and Giant! They're adorable ^w^
That dog above is also beautiful, I do love pups, especially when they have some sort of Australian Shepherd in them. I agree about the white so the maybe he is Australian Shepherd x Pyrenees. Winston is a nice name, I know a West Highland terrier by the name of Winston c:

@Day Of Silence
Wow! Epic looks so beautiful in that picture! It looks like she's filming for a dog commercial XD
@.Middy.
Kestrel is as beautiful as always <3 Kaiser looks so cute!

I also love australian shepherd mixes! ^u^ I'm especially a big fan of merle or blue tick coats, they're beautiful. Its been my dream to own an aussie or a heeler, but after fostering a pair of heeler puppies I'm afraid they were just too much (they found good homes though!); so I'm very happy to have such a calm dog, with a merle coat too (& his face is almost blue tick)! And yeah, Pyrenees seems about right; we thought of Saint Bernard, but it doesn't seem as fitting.

Haha his name took some debating, the top two names were Chester and Winston; but we thought Winston sounded more regal, and that would be more fitting for a dog thats going to grow so big. He's a little clumsy though (when you call him, he doesn't really look where he's going lol). Though with him being so smart, he's almost completely potty trained within the first day! Only one accident, but he's learning and has been going outside this whole time, not even in his crate. Hasn't responded to his name much yet, but he comes when whistled at, so thats something. :)
