Time for a 2015 recall of just some of the dogs I've met!

1. Meggi. Meggi is a young, friendly boxer who just loves everyone she meets! She's extremely jumpy and playful too. The person is me, and when you sit down, she sometimes leaps onto your lap and sits there looking pretty. Haha
2. Guigas & Flake. Guigas is the brown and black, white-pawed dog. He's the father of Flake, the other dog. The person holding their leashes is my cousin who was also there at the time, but the hand that's on Guigas is mine. I was lying on my towel on the beach when they went to sit by me - and of course, the naughty pups got sand all over me but I didn't mind XD! They're both mixes, I can't remember what their owner [my third cousin] told me because I'm a goldfish...
3. Sasha and Saber, the two German Shepherds I met whilst shopping! Sasha's licking MY cheek, by the way. And it's me who's petting Saber! XD
4. Amelia [second image of her giving me a lick], a Johnson American Bulldog [I think, if not, that and mixed with something] who is just a sweet puppy who wishes nothing more in life than a million friends. Literally. You stroke her and she just instantly loves you! Aww, right? By the way it's meeee [AGAIN]
5. No-name. Alright, alright, his name isn't no-name. I can't remember! What a noob I am. Anyway, here I am holding a young cockapoo who loves to bite fingers. XD
He's like a baby! He also enjoys tickles on his belly.

Tell me who's your favourite!

Number 1 is a boxer cross, the pair of mix breeds look like Pekignese dogs / crosses of that breed and the 'bulldog' is a French bulldog and, by proxy cus it's a bully breed, my favourite!

Oh yes, Guigas and Flake are Pekingese mixes.
I'm pretty sure Meggi is a pure Boxer as the owners said... Her parents are pure Boxers, littermates too.
I knew Amelia was some type of bulldog, but not sure which! Thanks for confirming c:

No problem! But the boxer is definitely either a boxer crossbreed (with some sort of terrier, my guess is Staffie.) or she has genetic throwbacks. She's beautiful either way.

Dogs and Rocks= Bad Things

Postby Despia » Mon Jan 11, 2016 12:18 pm

Have you heard the story about a pretty dumb dog, some rocks, and some Cayenne Pepper? No? Then here it is!

Well, around the time I got my dog, (Daisy) We moved into a new house. She seemed to like it, and didn't really seem to care. We were still moving in, so there was a lot of little stuff on the ground. (Never try this at home) EVENTUALLY, she started acting weird. She wasn't eating that much, she wasn't as active, and a lot of other weird stuff. Then we caught her trying to eat a rock. (Or at least she had it in her mouth) So we started putting Cayenne Pepper on the rocks. She got a sore throat, and instead of barking, she would squeak. (Funny but not so funny) She was still acting weird, until one day... The day of our house warming party... She couldn't eat, or drink without it coming back up. So I broke down on the floor, screaming "SHE'S GONNA DIE!!!" Until my grandma said that she would take here to the vet. Long story short, my AWESOME grandma paid for the bills.... And guess what my dog ate! Three rocks, a marble, a seed, and a piece of plastic. Good Job Daisy. 8-) Any who, she wore THE CONE OF SHAME (That was very necessary) for like two months, and yes. She still lives (Cue dramatic music)

The End!

Lol how does my dogs recall affect the fight at all? Neither of my dogs were involved in the fight. My dogs recall could not have prevented the fight because the Airedale ( Toby) and husky got into a fight. Toby went to investigate why this husky who was on a leash was freaking out so much. I believe it was incredibly irresponsible of the owner of the husky to bring his extremely dog aggressive dog to the park at one of the busiest times. Like Blu Mal stated, there are plenty of other areas to exercise his husky without brining him to the dog park. Somewhere where there were not 12+ dogs that were over stimulating the poor thing. You could tell the husky was extremely stressed out, which probably stressed out his " pack members". Izzy and the other two dogs who ran over when Toby and the husky got into the fight were most likely trying to protect him. The two other dogs and Izzy were not being aggressive at all, they were just barking and barking. The huskies were the ones being very aggressive. So yeah, there was nothing I could personally do about the fight since my dogs didn't start it.
I was just trying to rant about how irresponsible that owner was. You should never ever bring a fearful/ reactive dog to a dog park. The environment is WAY too over stimulating and things like this happen when you are not thinking of everyone else's dogs. This man was very irresponsible. There were 12+ dogs there that day, and for a fearful/ reactive dog who is VERY dog aggressive.... that is not a good situation at all.

my point was: it sucked that the toby got attacked, but if his recall was so poor that he wont come back when he's introducing himself to other dogs (on-leash) then shouldnt he be on the leash to avoid him running up to stressed out / aggressive / nervous dogs and being bitten?

That fight fault was 100% on the husky owner. You don't bring aggressive dogs into the dog park. If you do, then that's your own fault when a fight breaks out.

It was a off leash dog park (99% sure anyways). Most of which have rules saying not to bring leashed dogs in because they get over excited and can cause issues.

I dunno, maybe its different rules for the UK then. The dog owners / walkers around here just assume that if a dog is on the leash, it isn't to be approached and the off-leash dogs aren't allowed to go near it. Solves a lot of issues that way. (all barring one dude who has an english mastiff crossed american bulldog, unneutered, aggressive, no collar, no leash, no muzzle... he's had my boy twice and im concerned if he gets my girl 'cus she's so dinky.)

Well, with dog parks (at least here), aggressive dogs should not be allowed inside, leashed or not. The dog parks where Dr.McDreamy and I live are all off leash parks. People are responsible for making sure that they do not bring their dog aggressive dogs into the dog parks, as they are supposed to be a nice place for friendly dogs to meet and play off leash. The man with the huskies was completely wrong in bringing his aggressive dog inside, on leash or not, because it is dangerous and there was a large group of off leash dogs playing together. Even if all the other dogs had a perfect recall, that husky still could've yanked his leash free from his owner and attacked anyway.
