This is my dog, Cleo. She's a jack russell terrier. She's four years old and an absolute treasure. I love her to bits. She's my best friend. I've taught her to do lots of tricks. She knows how to wave to people, She's good at playing dead and is good at leaving treats alone until I say she can eat them. She does goofy things every day that make me laugh. Like trying to dig on the sofa. She's not very good with other dogs though. Ever since a border collie went for her she barks at any dog she sees. I can understand why. She must have been terrified when that dog went for her. I just gently pull her away from the dog she sees and carry on walking her. She's very protective of me too. If a stranger comes up to me she immediately starts barking. I'm glad that she does that as I'm only small and can be seen as an easy target. So all in all I'm happy with my best friend.

@Scarlet tears - Your girl is so cute!
@.Middy. - She is so adorable!

Bella has stated boot camp with my room mates service dog in training, so no more furniture or anything without permission from me or others. so far I am not doing to well since she has a cone on and I feel guilty..but everything else is going well. Her down stay is amazing, we will lay there well I am sitting at the table or eating. Been working on her re-call since she is a bolter and has escaped the trailer a few times now.

I also took the time to do a large photoshot with my dog and my room mates..and I am super happy with how Bella's turned out...

I am still not feeling to well today, I definitely need to continue to sleep for the rest of the day. Hopefully I can get over this cold before I go back home for thanksgiving. I don't want to be on a plane for several hours while I am sick, that won't be fun at all.
Anyway, did some indoor training with Izzy and Addy today to pass some time. I worked on "Touch" with Izzy. I know this is something I probably should have trained her forever ago but I never found the use for it until I started looking at more videos and all the things you can do with touch. Well she is doing AMAZING at it and picked it up really quickly. It took her a little while at first because she is so used to giving me a high five when I put my hand out. But she eventually got it and is doing really well at it.

Addy is working on her "sit stay" and "down stay". Her sit stay is coming along really nicely but we need a lot more work on her down stay. I will try and give you guys an update video or something eventually to show you everything these two have done :)

It all happened so fast ^_^

A new dog was added to the family of doodles! Meet Mollie! A 7 week old maltipoo! She is tiny, with little black spots. Although shes only a 'foster' dog. :( My very good friends will be ready to have her in their home in about 2 weeks (They are on vacation, then they are going to some big event, and then they are getting trainging with another dot and trainer, and then Mollie gets to go to them.) so until then, me and Mollie will be having lots of fun! I will try to post a photo, but Im currently borrowing my dads phone because the computer, and my phone, coincedentally both broke -_-

For now, heres some photos of the other two pups! Dazey is the smaller one, I call her Daze.

ay, I've posted here a little bit before, just on a different account.
Well, I used to be called Quentin and we've got four dogs, though we also have foster dogs than come and go. I mostly just talk about my retriever, though I also have a corgi, greyhound, and a ridgeback x mastiff.
-
Last week marks two years since we first started fostering a dog named Prince. He's a large dog, he's got basic obedience training, but no one's shown interest in him at all. In two whole years. We've tried so much, but now we're clueless on how to find him a home quicker.
Any ideas that might help a little?

The above picture is my German Shepherd x Lab mix, Remy. I've had her for a few months now, and she's doing well with training, but she has a little flaw.
She's sweet as heck, and usually she stayed away from cars, but one day the bus slowed down too much and she jumped in front of the bus. Now she thinks that the key to slowing down vehicles is to jump in front of them, and the other night my mom almost hit her on our way back from shopping because she jumped in front of the car.
Does anyone know how I can train her out of this new bad habit?

I love all the photos of all the pooches!

-------------------------------------
Epic's been doing good, we've only had a couple over threshold responses these past few weeks, none of which have been because of people.
She's turned into a lazy bum now that I'm able to take her out more, our old amount of time spent doing stuff was just perfect, so now we just kind of hang around and do nothing. We've successfully been able to walk past people within six feet with her ignoring them!

EDIT:
Yes! Neighbours who mostly understand the difficulties with Epic!
We don't agree on a few things, like Milan, but they're so nice and said we can call them any time to use their dog as a decoy as they have friends going through the same thing and want to help if they can.
Finally!
And Epic has been doing really good with their dog, she can ignore him a lot, sometimes it's insane. He comes to play with her and then she totally ignores him, even if he's making these weird noises to get her attention.
I'm so happy!

Keep the leash tighter around cars..? I mean, this isnt a behavior Id be allowing at all and it seemd like a really easy fix, keep her away from the road so she doesnt have thr ability to do so in the first place.

^ I would also work on training an incompatible behavior that you can use when you see a car coming. For example she can't dart out in front of a car if she's also sitting or laying down at your side or in front of you. That won't take the place of having her on a leash, ever, but it may help you keep control of the situation. And if you walk her at night make sure she has a reflective or light up collar so cars can see her better.

@Cardinal & Imzadi83, Thank you, that was all very helpful and definitely still worth a try, but I live on a farm so she has free run (she has a leash, but it was only bought for senior pictures and it's rarely used). I don't really walk her unless it's just around the farm with me doing chores (I should have mentioned that before, sorry). ^^;; I usually leash her and stand by the front door with her when I know someone is coming into the yard/leaving the yard that she doesn't recognize the vehicle of/hasn't met before, but I can't do that when I'm the one in the vehicle. It's usually the worst when she knows I'm in the vehicle to be honest, otherwise she's pretty good about not doing it. I could see the lying down/sitting down in front of me thing still working, however, if I'm not in the vehicle, so I might go about starting on that with her. But is there something like that I could teach her for when I am in the vehicle?
We've had quite a few dogs in my life, but this is a first for the vehicle situation and it's starting to bug my parents, which I can understand. I don't know what her first home was like, but we got her from a friend of mine who couldn't keep two large dogs in town so I offered to take her. She told me that in town Remy never had an issue like this because she actually feared vehicles, so whatever this is just started now and she's obviously gotten braver. Thank you both again though, I think I might be able to work with some of that still for when I'm not in the vehicle.

I feel I should also mention quick, our driveway is at least a mile long and she goes no where near the gravel road that passes our house. Her problem is literally cars that pull into our yard. We set boundaries when we got her, so she doesn't go past a certain point on the driveway.
