Dog Owner Chat v3 ~Open!~

Took Panzer running with my bike today.
It's the first time he's ever run next to a bike since his police service, 1 year ago now. It was very exciting and he loved it, didn't pull like I'd expected. He waited very patiently for commands like a good boy.

Today was awful.
On the way home from a training class with Dakota this morning, we stopped at a book fair and my dad told me the news about Thunder.
Late last night, about 10:30, Thunder was still outside on his leash. The woods around where we live are riddled with coyotes, one got through the fence to raid the treats stashed for the horses in the shed. Thunder saw it and tried fighting it away, the leash wasn't long enough but he made it really angry. The thing fought back and Thunder lost. The vet is keeping him overnight until tomorrow, they're going to give him euthanasia because the wounds are too deep and there's too many. I'm never going to be able to spend winter break with him, my baby's gone and I can't do anything about it.

Late reply but, this dog was never alive in the first place xc everyone knows your lying.

When did he finish his police work because I'm pretty shore back in May you said you had only had him a week and with a heart disorder a lot of hard work is bad for them. It's getting a little hard to keep up with your stories what with you changing them so often.

Anyway, I dnt really talk about my german shepherd but might aswell! (:
She turned 4 months old not long ago. We took her for a walk yesterday and shes getting better at not pulling! i will post a picture soon! (edit this post because i have to go on mobile for a recent picture)

it poured today, so the dog park was a mess. enjoy these fun photos though! turns out Lucy is a water baby, which I'm totally excited about. Opie hates water. she's a bit bigger bodied than Ope and is a bit fatter. the most noticeable difference is the tail, aha. cx other than that, they are pretty alike!

Post a real picture of him and we'll stop telling you you're lying. Lying about not only having a dog, but having to put him down is disgusting.

Holy moly.
They are so similar, if it weren't for their collars, I wouldn't know who was who.
So are you potentially adopting Lucy? Or am I messing stuff up (like I usually do).

Epic's now doing a form of 'fist bump', well, a couple variations. She either touches my fist with her nose, her paw, or her whole mouth.
We got a chance to use the field for a couple minutes last night. We did some recall training with the long leash and mild distractions. A stick, two annoying dogs guarding the pool, and some food scattered on the ground. It was threatening to rain on us, and the thunder and lighting were getting closer, so we headed back in.

I ended up going back and saying hi to the two small street dogs. They've been coming up for about a month now, but they're now staying up here all day and following the visitors around.
They're both about the size of a not overweight shih-tzu, one is red and looks like a fox, with the stick up ears and bushy tail. The other is a little smaller and is a terrier of some sort. Both are not dog friendly (the resident dogs have been having problems with them), kind of shy, but love pets.
We have someone who's going to talk to the farmer who owns them, and then we'll see what happens.

Small Geyser update:
His leash reactivity has gotten SO much better and he is less fearful in stressful situations. A bunch of family members came over today, and once he warmed up he said hello then settled down and napped. He even demonstrated the weave poles for some curious people, completely focused on me and the task. All of this tireless socialization is paying off : P
