Hello, You aren't suppose to do big jumps and heavy contact things with puppies right?

I like to watch this trainer's videos but he recently got a puppy (who is super smart btw) and He makes her do a lot of jumping and other stuff. Wouldn't she suffer for joint problems later in life?

Lots of activity on here!

Dream Dogs

1. Golden Retriever- I would love to have one of those big happy go lucky dogs with their insanely cute faces and adorable elegance. I love the sweet disposition, general friendliness and fair level of energy.

2. Doberman Pinscher or Brittany- Two energy filled, intelligent working dogs. I don't know if I'll ever be in the position to take on a dog with more energy then Epic, but who knows.

3. Greyhound, Italian Greyhound, Borzoi or Silken Windhound- I love the thin elegant frames and similar temperaments.

@Cardinal
That's awesome!

@.Middy.
I've attempted to get Epic to hold something in her mouth. But once she figured we weren't playing with the object, she would lightly put her mouth over it then stop and walk off.

Yes, you are supposed to avoid having a puppy do a lot of jumping and heavy contact activities until they're a year old. You can have them do a little bit of really low jumps before then and working on grass is definitely better than working on a tougher ground, like sidewalk.

Creed is recovering well from the giardia nightmare, and hopefully that is all behind us now. He had a long day of service work yesterday so he's resting most of today before I get to work. He had lost a lot of weight and was down to 58lbs, now back up to 62. Our goal is 65 so we're almost there!

Just got my pup today and managed to do something stupid and hurt him. :/ Was trimming his claws (he's fine with having his paws touched and didn't struggle at all, so this is all my fault...) and cut one of them too short. Pretty much a tiny nightmare to get the bleeding to stop.

Here's a picture of him asleep after the entire ordeal, by the way (he's a 8 week old staffordshire bull terrier, not the AmStaff kind)

My dogs have been doing very well, I'm finally home from vacation and I've been spending time with them! My smaller dog (Yoda, a yorkshire terrier/chihauhua/poodle mix) always comes to wake me up in the morning, it's definitely adorable.

@Jackdaw Lord: He's too cute! Clipping nails is a challenge, but he will make it through.

gave a decent amount of photos of loki so here are some of Rosie. Piper's probably next, but she is never still enough for pictures most of the time.

        meet and greet with miss lucy didn't go as planned, unfortunately. it ended up storming this morning so the dog park would have been a soupy, muddy mess. I didn't want to toss everyone right in the mix by meeting at our place, but that was what we ended up having to do. they met on leash outside first, then moved into the apartment after a while. they played and ran around and now they've both tired themselves out. everything went pretty well aside from a few instances when they got too excited and played a little rough. we've decided to do a trial however to see how things go with her and Opie for a while and if all goes well, she'll be here to stay! :)
        photos to come~
