We haven't had any luck finding her owner as of yet. There's always the possibility that she had been dumped out here(sadly, that isn't uncommon out here on our dirt road) but we will find her a forever home one way or another. (x

She and Deebee get along so well! Deebee is so gentle with her when they play, and I am really happy with how well he's behaving.(: Eva has been friendly, but she tends to be pretty rough when she plays so we have had to be careful to make sure she doesn't get too excited.

This girlie is a quick learner, and is doing well with potty training already.(: We've been working on "puppy push-ups" and she's getting those commands down nicely. Cx

It's always fun to guess breeds that may have gone into a dog. Any ideas on this pretty girl? Cx

I've heard that it helps them learn the basic "sit" and "down" commands faster.(: I haven't used this method to teach a dog before, so I was trying it out on her to see whether it worked well or not.(:

I'd start by teaching him to give you eye contact, then build up the duration of eye contact. Then, you can give him the cue to "stay", and take one step away from him and return immediately back into heel position, click and treat. If that's too much movement, try just leaning forward on one foot, click and reward. Eventually, you can start to build distance or duration. It's important not too build on both at the same time. If you're working on distance, gradually go from 1 step away, to 2 steps, ect. Vary your distances and lengths of time, however. If you keep making the distances/duration further/longer, your dog might get discouraged and lose interest. Keep him guessing, but step back if he fails and stay persistent and fun! c:

We have been trying not to give her a real name for fear of getting too attached to her(as much as we like this baby girl we really don't need another foster failure. XD) but we've been calling her a few different things. My sisters have been trying to push the name Mishka and my brother likes Mandy, but I've mostly been calling her nicknames like "Smoochie Wallace" and "Goober pup". Cx She seriously is such a sweetie pie, it is so hard not to love this girlie. <3
