The count down until house hunting has started. I am getting so excited. Dx We'll need good vibes! Ultimately we're looking for a place we can have room for the dogs (tethering room at first if we need it, then room for a fence + rollers on top). We have a place in mind thats 7 acres, but whether we get it or not is up in the air, thats just the way of house hunting. Either way it will be wonderful to have a yard for the dogs again and it'd be a miracle to see Juniper not on a tether for once. Dx

Otherwise the dogs have been great! Juniper finished her heat cycle with no problems, even though my roommate bugged me repeatedly about breeding her. Uh, no. Glad its over and done with, though.

Well, Foster-Mutt now has an ad out looking for a new home again! I'll be putting up up a flyer on the bulletin board at work as well, so hopefully we'll start hearing from potential homes soon. ^_^

Just played the first game of fetch in a month!
Epic did really good, and I had some chicken with me, so I randomly rewarded her for a retrieve and drop.

And she's starting to cuddle! There was one day where she just wanted me to sit on the floor so she could (attempt) to lay down in my lap and chew on her kong.
She's also started running up to some people she knows, which is pretty cool since she's not a fan of people. A couple days back she hung around with my friend for pets, which was seriously awesome to see considering she also had a guitar with her (Epic used to find it really scary).

Sometimes I like you Animal Planet. This is almost one of those times. This really needed to be said (although schutzhund isn't 'aggression training') because that dog looks godawful, isn't even a pitty, and that price tag is outlandish considering my dynamic duo were a few thousand and are at least in my opinion far more put together than those 'pit bulls'.
Speaking of that they could probably use some conditioning, they're so out of shape since the summer was a hot and muggy one x-x
Also, ordering dog beds online is hard..




Another recent issue. A county away there was a person mauled by a group of I believe Presa Canarios?
Edit looked at the news and sadly:

The dogs are a Russian Breed called Presa Canarios and they weigh 80 to 130 pounds

uhhhh yeah, totes Russian.

BUT SINCE my babes are pretty much 'lookalikes' for the breed people are flippin terrified of me now. I'm afraid to let them out in the yard currently as I think there are still 1 or 2 of the 6 missing ;-; it's a shame, so many godawfully bred 'protection' dogs that aren't emotionally stable enough to even be a pet

My mom got in touch with a family thinking of moving to our area.
They breed great danes, labs and are just starting Toy Australian Shepherds. I don't know much about them, but the lady heard I was interested in pursuing a future in dogs and got in touch to see if she could help!
I'm looking forward to talking and seeing where it may go!
